The video was a big waste of bandwidth.
I agree that Apple needs to make the consumer and professional models more ascetically different. As you pointed out, different strokes for different folksappeal to as many styles as possible.Point taken. I edited my posting to admit it - consumers and creative-types are likely to "get" the lure of colorful computing. Just look at the rainbow iPod Nanos!
I don't have a creative bone in my body, so the colors don't work for me. But, even for a company like Apple trying to break into the enterprise, there is definitely room for two different lines - (1) sleek business and (2) colorful creative. Bring on the color! Would certainly make trips to the Apple store even more fun!
What's the policy on exchanging for a new model? A friend of mine only bought a macbook last week! Also do they usually get released straight away? Thanks.
Yes, the video was seriously a waste of my time. I think the reasoning for putting it on page 1 was because of the escalating interest in MacBook rumors. MR doesn't always use Page 1 for only the most credible rumors, but also for rumors that will have lots of interest.I have only one thing to say: superfake. End of story.
Come on MR, really? This ridiculousness is front page? Definitely belongs on Page 2 with a silly video like that.
Yup. The (most likely fake) "MacBook" video furthers this possibility.I find it very funny. The real MacBook case is still yet to come.
I sincerely hope that when the new MacBooks are unveiled on the 14th that the web sites proven wrong are very loudly called out for being so. They should rightly be attacked for their mis-information, while at the same time the web sites proven correct are applauded and identified.
I don't think the wrong sites should be attacked, they can be asses if they want to. Arn keeps track of what sites are right or wronghe usually posts track records before and/or after an event.I sincerely hope that when the new MacBooks are unveiled on the 14th that the web sites proven wrong are very loudly called out for being so. Good idea (although I wouldn't go that far), but it's possible Apple's plans have changed after a (correct at the time) rumor was announced. I'd expect the rumor site to release an update to that rumor then.I sincerely hope that when the new MacBooks are unveiled on the 14th that the web sites proven wrong are very loudly called out for being so. You will probably be surprised to know that that particular iBook line was very popular. It helped Apple regain credibility and revenue. In the late 90's, those things were much more stylish than the beige black POS's that were PCs. This style was also mimiced in one way or another by nearly every computer company.whoever designed those atrocious things needs to be slapped upside the head.
I think all this teasing, silly or not, is coming from the top.
The whole thing is a frickin joke. Is it me, or has the round of rumors in the past week really seem random and perplexing?Long time lurker, first time poster.
While this is obviously a fake, it's pretty hilarious how fake it is.
They didn't even bother to properly line up the screen with the body
One side is sitting behind the body, the other is resting on top!![]()

They may be doing this to hide a more secretive product.I have a feeling that Apple is now carefully controlling the leaks. There's been a change of strategy, from trying to bury everything to pure titillating, and I think all this teasing, silly or not, is coming from the top.
