I'm not liking the two-tone thing. Wouldn't that conflict with Apple's trying to use environmentally-friendly materials? Also, I just think it would not look as streamlined and seamless as Macs are supposed to, and would give it kind of a Dell feel. I mean I'm sure Apple's designers would make it beautiful in some way, I just don't think that would be a very progressive design move... And I really hope they don't do it. :(

And the video... Who in his right mind would film a video of a real pre-release MacBook like that? It's just stupid. If that were a real MacBook, and not an Air, the person filming would just give us a full view.

^ queues up Reville and Taps just in case. If it's still plastic on the outside I'll play Reville for my 3.5 year old 12" PB, if it's all aluminum then it's time to play Taps...

Given that MBA and MB both share the same 13.3" display, it may just be people who managed to swap the frame of the two display units somehow.

fake fake fake, why would you make such a close up rubbish video if you had all that time to film a decent wide shot. im waiting till tuesday i might even stay away from mac rumors till then so i can get a nice surprise when the real deal comes out, avoiding all these last minute mad rumours.

Its a MBA.

Its not two-toned, its just the lighting and reflection of the paper that make it look that way.

Seeing the video ON my Air it was easy to compare.

Also, if they had zoomed back far enough I am sure it would have been easy to show that "MacBook" was not centered on the screen bezel.

Or at least show the ports - they did not.

Its amazing with so much effort it takes to film, edit and add a sound track yet they find it soooooo difficult to film the thing properly? wheres the wide shot? wheres the overall? Bird eyes eye view? the sides? Show the ports? the Dvd drive? And why oh why is there a piece of paper covering the keyboard?

Come back when you got a better video...

That's an interesting technique, covering up the keyboard to fake that it is a new macbook.

I could fathom a two-tone MacBook. If it's gaining an aluminum enclosure, it needs to have some design element to differentiate it from the MBP, unless the MBP is getting a dramatic redesign itself... I'm predicting translucent blue plastic.

;) Joking.

fake

the video is a fake they did not zoom out to see the entire computer. there are also blurry sports on it and why did they not turn it on and show the about this mac.

The 9to5 "two-tone" macbook is ugly as sin, I doubt Apple would commit such a faute de goût.

i cant actually believe apple would ever release a two-tone macbook

yea I agree. It just doesnt seem right for a laptop. I mean, its okay on the iMac because you never see the back of it really, youre not carrying it around, etc. so the outside never seems to be a problem, but on laptops it is.

I dont think it will be two-tone at least on the outside. I do think there will be a black bezel though, like the iMac, just not on the outside...or at least I hope not.
