I love this keyboard. The speed I can type and the amount of customization is unmatched. don't like the animations and colors? You can easily customize all that out of the keyboard and really make it your own

Why do people freak out over this? It's not a big deal. It's not full access to your nude photos or something.

The bigger crime is 5 bucks for the app. Without a free trial, it's hard to drop 5 bucks on something I might try and not like. Keyboards are tricky and very personal, if it's good, the app is definitely worth the money. Otherwise it's a huge gamble.

Have you even read the warning Apple gives you when it requests full access? It specifically mentions the idea that a developer could see you type in anything from social security numbers to credit card numbers.

I'm not saying this dev would ever do that, but being cautious is not a bad thing.

It takes a lot of getting used to and adjusting your typing style, but it's definitely a pretty neat keyboard. All about the speed!

If you're interested, better get it fast, before Apple yanks it from the App Store ... Apple just don't like other products that tend to show them up.

This belongs on iOS Blog - it is not front page of MacRumors news quality - it's just a straight up paid promotion for a $5 app.

Racist statement. It has been my experience as a professional developer that there is no racial advantage for any software development or engineering skills.

...

Millennials and hipsters are all over this for sure!

Your first statement... I don't get it?
Your second statement... biased statement.

And one clearly have to be a racist to get my twist with your opinion.

Wouldn't use the App all tough I like its visual and audiovisual feedback...

This.

“Type More Than 100 Words Per Minute With the New NinType Keyboard for iOS”

Nice advertisement feature / commercial / promoted post, MacRumours!
Pretty blatant.

MacRumours used to be pretty objective. Lately it's seemed a lot more partisan.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I highly doubt this keyboard will be removed.

If it makes you feel any better, iOS 8.2 probably won't fix every single bug anyone has ever experienced with 8.1.1, so you should have a lot to complain about when that gets released.

Cheers!

Awwww... the poor widdle iOS users are getting all excited about gesture typing. :p How cute.

All the Android users are thinking "welcome to 2010".

All android users?

Why do we have people like this around here?

Refund?

Racist statement.

Culturally, about the only common thread I have found of a good software developer is they come from a mainstream or counter culture that has a lack of respect for authority

Funny then that the NSA and GCHQ has so much access to all our data, much thanks to good software devs.

Your statement is more BS than that other guy's.

Some facts about nintype

1) Full access not required
2) You can turn off the "ad" on the space bar
3) It does have a learning curve, but is worth it
4) Yes, there should be a trial version perhaps limited to a single app.
5) It does use battery, but not excessive
6) I love the app, but I also wonder why it is on the front page of MacRumors - rather than iOS Blog.
7) It doesn't work with contacts (no third party keyboards do)
8) There are so many features, don't be intimidated - just don't use them.
9) The themes and fx are campy, but don't distract from functionality.
10) Although no dedicated number row, there is a setting that you can swipe up from the letters Q=1, W=2, that may just rock your world - under top-slide options.
