This was several years ago, I had the one I picked up at CC, drove to the Apple Store, and looked at the demo phones to decide on the color. The store had my preferred color in stock. I could have chosen to swap my shipped phone for their in stock phone.

I wasn't sure if i wanted to take the extra time to swap, looked at the phone in the case I ordered and decided it didn't make enough difference to bother. lol Went home and set up my new phone. It was awesome! Exciting story!!! lol

I have a DT being delivered tomorrow. I loved the look of BT in videos today, but I did order a black case which would cover the black part anyway. I do hope a bit of the "gold" comes through the front of the case.

If you have an Apple Store nearby, look into stock in the morning and it is possible you could pick one up tomorrow. My Cincinnati Apple Store had stock available to order for Friday pickup as recently as Wednesday. It appears they put up a "check back on Friday" tag on new orders on Thursday morning.

My wife is the same way: she throws disdain all over my iPhone excitement, so I donā€™t even mention it anymore. When I ask if she wants to open her box and look at her pretty new iPhone, she lets me know in no uncertain terms that she absolutely does not care, like itā€™s beneath her. šŸ˜„

Donā€™t worry itā€™ll make it.

Louisville is at most a 2 hour flight to anywhere in the US. Iā€™ve had orders leave Louisville after 3AM ET and still arrive on time! UPS knows logistics!
 
My iPhone 16 Pro Max is ready for pickup at 8:00am. Is anyone picking up from the NYC 5th Ave store? Whatā€™s the process there?

It just took a minor detour this year. At least it will be there for the Red Raider game on Saturday!

Definitely not worried. In recent years I'm the guy telling everyone not to worry the entire week as they waited for their phones that didn't have scans, etc. So it is funny to stare at the App and say "wtf!?!"

UPS has done so much better with scans, especially the import into SDF, so people's phones weren't disappearing after leaving Anchorage like they had in recent years.

My wife is also like that lol. She thinks I'm crazy every year for following these forums. I am but I love it.

We have made the end around from San Antonio -> DFW -> Area hub for final sort and placement on the truck.

Long way to get here, but everything is on track (as expected, even with an extra stop in there!)
 
I set appointment to pick it up on 21st noon at Apple 5th Avenue in New York City due to a scheduled all day event. Since that event was cancelled can I still pick up the phone on 20th? Do i need an appointment? I couldnt change the designated day on the Apple site.
 
I really hope they hold off delivering this until 4:30pm, because thereā€™s no guarantee Iā€™ll have someone at home to sign for this while Iā€™m at work šŸ˜¬
