For those still waiting on ISPU emails I only just got mine.

I did and ISPU at 5!this morning for a watch…. Had to leave without an email…. (But I got the emails for the phone I preordered last night!)

They do some crazy stuff driving around. My old neighborhood the ups truck would come in and do everything on one side of the street, then come back up the other side and do them. I guess it makes more sense

UPS tries to create routes with no left turns. Faster and more efficient.

As an update- when I click on delivery details, it reads “A mechanical failure has caused a delay. We will update the delivery date as soon as possible. / Your shipment is scheduled to arrive today after the delivery commitment time.”

The last movement update was it arriving in Rockford, IL at 3:50am this morning, and I’m on the west coast. Looks like I’m not going to get it today, that’s such a bummer.

Same here; I’m in Portland, OR. I have zero idea what it means…never seen it before when tracking my deliveries. I’ve resigned myself to a day’s or longer delay at this point. I rarely have good luck with private shippers (UPS, FedEx, Amazon).

Now that most are getting their phones today, what do you like to do when setting it up? Start it fresh or bring everything over and make it a copy of your old phone?

I called UPS and they said they couldn’t reach the delivery center because it’s closed??? Lmao how is a delivery center closed on a business day, let alone iPhone delivery day?

Many don't open until 11 AM after the truck roll.

Hopefully my driver is slightly delayed and delivers my iPhone closer to 5. I work until 4:30 and have no one else home to sign for me.

Crazy. My Oct 8-14 delivery is still processing. Went to the app, configured same device and I can pick it up today in store or have it delivered to my house tomorrow. Selected a pickup time and going in to the store today! No need for pre orders.

Cancel the pre-order as soon as you pick up at the Apple Store.
Their rep can help you do that on their end.

Yes, lots of available iPhones at all my local Apple stores today for pickup.

I will see if my Desert titanium looks good or not and if 128GB will be workable now that I have seen the photo and video capabilities on the 16 Pro.

I might end up returning the 128GB and get a 512GB + different color....

Same here - regretting ordering the 128GB Pro.
Never needed more than 64GB the past 5 years.

With all the new videos online about the photo and video capabilities, I am now thinking of returning the 128GB and ordering a 512GB Pro.

Start fresh. It can be a bit of pain re-logging into apps but a) you tend to notice newer features easier and b) it's a chance to clear out cruft you've not been using. Always start fresh when possible.

Yup, now I understand why people order with massive storage.

Past 5 years never needed more than 64GB because the iPhone camera was basic (good for point & shoot).

But now the 16 Pro came out with very neat features ( action button, camera control button, 5x lenses, etc) and now I am looking at replacing my Canon DSLR with the iPhone 16 Pro for both 4K videos and photos.

My 16 Pro 128gb desert titanium is coming oct 3-8 but it’s basically available everywhere in Florida.

A computer scheduling system. Your package may not even be on that truck. They deliver based on UPS service for the package. Some have by 8, 10 - 12, commercial before 4 PM. We actually have 3 trucks that deliver to my address it all depends on class of service the shipper chose.

According to their app is in that truck bc I'm able to follow the truck in the app. I saw in the app that was on my street and heard the truck, so I went outside lol But yeah I know I'm just being dramatic bc I am anxious 😩

Glad you're all getting your phones and are happy about them.

The only case I would ever use are the apple ones. I find mostly all of the third party cases so hideous and ruin a good looking phone.

any 3rd party ones you like? caudabe gets tons of love in the accessories sub, along w phone rebel and otterbox. i like pitaka. bullstrap vaja ryan get shouts from the leather folks. I’ve also liked some of the consistent blockbusters spigen esr ringke and so on.
