I did the App drop and load on the iPhone. Kept it steady on the iPad and had the Store open on Mac Safari.

Mac Safari was available and I had checked out, before the iPhone Apple Store would load. For my wife the iPad was first ...

This was different from the past, where the iPhone was typically first ...

Same for me this year, couldn't get in with my Mac or iPhone but my iPad got right in.

8:04 confirmation email. I was with the store open in the iPad, MBP and iPhone. iPhone let me in first (not sure if it’s bc it was the first one that I opened the store app). Anyway, happy that it worked without problems. Let the anxiety with UPS begin 😂

This will be my first ever in store pickup. 9:45 is better than waiting until 4-5 pm. I’ll grab the new one, get it set up and trade in on the same day.

Smooth sailing! Got in at 5:02. Got held up because my CC needed updating. I feel like this happens every year. I think it’s stored correctly for preorder- then bam, they need it again. Oh well. Made it through.

Nope. You gotta be quicker than that. You only have a 1-3 minute window to get it on launch day. Usually 2 minutes. Amazing how many people can drop millions of dollars in seconds huh in this “tough” economy. What a joke.

I was like 8 minutes late due to a card issue and mine is slated for 9/20. Probably depends on the color/size/capacity though.

Interesting note;
Wife's TMO order on the T Mobile carrier site opened up at 4:57 am - beating out Apple by 7 minutes.

My Apple online order opened up at 5:04 am.

That was the craziest pre-order ever! The app finally opened about 30 seconds after 8 o’clock my time, and after hitting continue and getting to the actual order page while I was reviewing everything, the button at the top to place the order just went gray! Little circle thing started spinning in the middle of the page and then it says oops something went wrong. Then I try to get back in. It says your order information has been deleted. Please start again. I’m freaking out then when I go to start all over again and say that I wanted to upgrade this phone, it says please check account information unable to do that at this time, when I check my account and my orders, the phone was there! The app ordered the phone for me without me pressing the button! Crazy times…
