For your baby hands, it probably is. I have a 6+ and I can handle it one-handed quite well.

Really? You can hold it in your right hand and reach the home button and upper-leftmost icon with your right thumb without changing grip? You can tap top-of-screen menu buttons while holding the phone in one hand without struggling to change your grip? If so, your hands must be hulk-sized (no offense). I would love to see a youtube video of that. And I'm not talking about using the double-tap home button feature. It can be helpful, but it is cumbersome and slow for everyday use, and has to be "re-activated" after each screen tap.

And Apple didn't force anything on you. I don't think Apple came knocking on your door and snatched your 4 away.

They didn't force you to upgrade your phone or your iOS. You can still buy the 5c can't you?

Exactly how did Apple force you to do anything?

Seriously?
It should go without saying that, of course, no one is "forced" to do anything. The implicit sentiment was -

"If I want to continue using Apple products (to remain in the Apple ecosystem that I have already invested in), and if I want to use the latest iOS (which doesn't run on older iPhones), and if I want to use new features like Apple Pay and Touch ID, then I have to get a new iPhone and that means a gargantuan iPhone 6."

But you all knew that. You just want to proclaim that Apple's new way (huge phones) is the ONLY way, and that anyone who doesn't agree is a luddite.

I love my 6 and have wanted a bigger screen for some time, but I think apple should be doing something to make people like you happy besides just offering last years model at a discount. They have 3 sizes of MacBook. Why not 3 sizes for iPhone? 4 inch, 4.7 and 5.5. That would take care of just about everybody.

You could say "but that's too many iPhones when looking at how hey still sell the 5,5c and 5s". I would say drop all those old models altogether. If people want an old one, they can buy one off craigslist for even cheaper. Gives us 3 sizes of iphone and keep it simple

That'd be cool.

I thought the Plus was too big for me as well, but I learned to use it as a one hand phone simply by not cradling it like I used to do with my 5s. Instead I learned to grip it from the middle, this way my thumb is equidistant from the top and bottom. Because of this I haven't found a need to use the double tap feature.

It also helps to have a minimal case (I use the NGP Spigen) with a grippy texture so the phone doesn't slide out of your hand, hence why I don't have an issue with it slipping when i'm holding it with one hand.

Finally, I really, really hope they do not discontinue this sized phone, the battery life alone was worth the purchase. Imagine traveling on business for a day, enduring two layovers, 10 hours of meetings, piggybacking to using the iPhone as a hotspot when no reliable WiFi is around, and still have 12% battery life left by the time you get home, all without the need for using a Mophie Pack? The value of having a truly all day phone now is enormous.

No, if people REALLY wanted the 6 Plus, they'd wait.

Would u wait 2months for a iPhone 6 ? And just so u know they are people that are waiting for there 6plus even now. Not even the Apple employees can get there 6+ yet. Not until the customers who are waiting, get there's and that is going to be a long time.

Was the iPhone 4 your first phone? Are you just now figuring out how Apple operates?

Don't complain about being "forced" when Apple is probably the most generous company out there allowing older hardware to run the latest software.

I'm sorry, but your " I want my cake and eat it too" complaint just doesn't hold water. Welcome to life.

Well guest which one is for my wife? If u guest the 6 u are correct. And the 6+ is the man phone, anyway just playing. My wife love her new 6 and makes fun of my phone all the time calling it an iPad. But of lately she have been surfing the web and watching videos on it. And just 3 days ago she said to me bigger is definetly better there I said it she says. I for one will take that report with a grain of salt. Just because of the millions of people waiting for the 6plus. On lunch day when my wife and I went to the Apple store to try the new phones out. They Came out to the people in line and announced that the 6+ is sold out. You should see the some of the faceail expression. People where not happy at all. I think the 6plus is going to out do the 6 in my opinion.

The iPhone 6 IS a two-handed phone. Soooooo inconvenient compared to my 4. Wish Apple didn't force us into this phablet world.

Oh really? I must be holding my iPhone 6 wrong since I only needed one hand. :roll eyes: (Yes, I have huge hands and I do use the double tap home button feature some times.)
Also, whose forcing you into the phablet world? Sure you miss out on some features but they're not significant enough for upgrading yet. My bank doesn't even support Apple Pay yet.

Edit: Read previous post. Agree with Soulweaponry.

Need to update my phone soon and struggling to choose between the 6 and the +.

See, the + is, in use, the best - like a little iPad. And 90% of the time the size can be accommodated without hassle. It's how annoying the other 10% of the time will be that's the question.

I have yet to experience 1% of the time when having the plus is a hassle

This is just STUPID....it's hard to even find a store with a 6 Plus, so how the hell can you expect people to buy them? I love my 128 6+ and really glad I made the LONG wait as the 1st in line to get the ONLY ONE THAT WAS RECEIVED. Others in line wanted a Plus but SETTLED for the regular 6. This survey is flawed when they do it on something that is in LIMITED ABILITY.....DuH!!!

Indeed.
Yet people make this thread about how too big the 6+ is.

I love my 6+ and still respect people who don't for whatever reason. End of story.

Waited four weeks to get my 6+.

That's a long time in these days of instant gratification!
Maybe Apple is trying to teach us some Zen patience lol

Anyway, to those who are down on the 6+ for being "too big" - you can get other sized phones such as the 5C and 5S. Given they don't offer the latest tech and Apple is unlikely to offer smaller "new" phones in the future you are stuck with those.

Yeah the regular 6 is cool but the Plus really has some justifiable "pluses":
• awesome battery life!
• awesome screen
• optical image stabilization
• and uh, size….

If you care about shooting photos and editing them on your phone, doing video and using apps that require fiddly touch actions and so forth, the 6+ is really great.

At first - yes it felt large but it feels completely normal now.
I don't really know many people who carry their phones in their "front jean pockets" lol - I doubt phone designers take that into account when designing.

Anyway - you think the 6+ is too big? Maybe it is - for you. But too many people are assuming - just like they think some kind of food tastes bad when they have never actually tried it.

hmm. Did you intend to respond to me or someone else?
None of your comments have anything to do with what I said.

Having three hands is quite nice.

I'm able to easily handle a two handed iPhone :)

LOL!

Seriously, I stopped by a cell phone kiosk and picked up an iPhone 6+ and gawked at it. The thing is just so darn big. No thanks (well, not that I would say no to it if someone *gave* it to me).

For years I've routinely enjoyed carrying two phones. A new iPhone & new Android. Keeping my work and personal phones seperate prevents questions about my expense account, and provides me with the variety and experiences I enjoy. Each have their strengths which keeps things interesting.

That sounds pretty cool! It gives you have a very balanced view of the whole Apple vs Droid debate.

Very true, I get to identify and enjoy the strengths of each platform.

As a long time Apple Computer user I must disclose my fondness for Apple products. That said, my outspoken manor often is misunderstood.

Never one to overlook some of the companies faults and my unwillingness to blindly praise Apple gets me in trouble. Many people mistake my thoughts and opinions as Anti-Apple, when that couldn't be farther from the truth. :)

Apple gets an amazing amount of things right, but believe me, they hear from me regularly about the stuff I think needs fixing. I hope you continue to voice your opinions (especially since you seem cool headed about them).

Thank you, I do plan on continuing to recognize both what's right and wrong.

Speaking of which I must say I'm very impressed with my newest 64GB iPhone 6 Plus. It's quite fast, consistent and reasonably rigid as compared with the day one examples I purchased of this same model.

It's very satisfying to get what one pays for. No dings or scratches out of the box like both my iPhones 5 and 5S. This iPhone is simply stellar :)

----------

IPhone 6plus is to big a phone. iPhone 6 is just about the right size.

I agree.

The iPhone 6 is just too small.

Conversely the 6S is just the right size for my constant usage at work and to do personal tasks... :D

{ humor }

I want an iPhone 6 Minus

Or maybe it should be iPhone 6Small, iPhone 6Medium, iPhone 6Large

Oh wait, I got it. iPhone 6Mini
