Why do people want to wake up so early? Would you get your device earlier if you order it minutes after it is available for order?

So when will the deliveries be available? Will they deliver on 4/3 or what. I have to know cause I will be out of town that weekend at my parents. I could ship it there, but only would want to do that if I know it will be there that day. I won't still be there come Monday
:-(

What do you all think?

YAWN. Every time I've preordered something from apple it has always arrived after the regular launch!

Still hoping for release day delivery. As much as I enjoyed the first iPhone launch (I was there 12 hours, number 16 on line), I don't know if I have it in me to do that again...but hey, I will!:D

Still have my Apple Store credit from the first iPhone

I still have my Apple store credit access code from the first iPhone because they lowered the price.

My question is... Will it still work?

If so I am getting the $599 model!

Does anyone know if the Apple store credit access code from the first iPhone still work?

Marcus

So let me get this straight. There is no actual proof that it's going on PRESALE tomorrow morning but you'll all still wake up anyways just go get your processing done faster?

I consider myself a fan boy, I'm even an app developer myself, and even I would never do this. You guys are nuts IMHO, I'll be at my local Apple Store on 'April 3' and I'll get my 'free gift'. If there is one.

But happy alarm waking.;)

First answer: The same reason some people want to be first in line at a movie premier even though they could show up later and still get a good seat.

Second answer: No.

I think that was only good for 3 months

"This device has not yet been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.".

Hopefully they will soon be able to remove this snippet.

Maybe so you don't get a "Sorry. We have met all pre-order allotments. Please visit an Apple Store to get your iPad" only to brave the crowds.

They never said it expired, but ever since 2007? Yes, it might have.

It does NOT expire.

I want one too but I will not be a part of the Rev A revolution like the rest of you ordering early. :p

So if you reserve online to pick up in store, you're guaranteed to get one on launch day? I heard there was some confusion with that, and the 3GS launch, just want to make sure I can get it on launch day, and would rather pick up in store. Thanks for the help.

What's especially tricky is I live in the US but work for a British company, so most of my colleagues are six hours ahead of me. Except after Sunday, when we go on DST and there will only be five hours difference until they go on Summer Time. I've gotten very good at adding and subtracting time zones.

So, yeah, 7:30 AM tomorrow morning gives me plenty of time to pre-order before leaving for work.

Thats one helluva commute!
I was all set to understand up until you said "leave for work", meaning I thought you work at home but with a British company, When you say "leave" and they being 6 hours ahead, makes it sound as though you commute each day to England??

Please Do, Explain

Apple fanboys mentality :)... Its pretty sad if mac pro's and books doesn't get refreshed tomorrow it will just mean apple screwed their old customer for new product.
