Anyone seen any activity on their Order Status?

The funds are still reserved on my credit carD. The delivery date has not changed from 4th-8th November. For some reason, myself constantly checking the status doesn't seem to be expediting it.

Looking at the US orders thread, it seems the first clue is when the funds actually get taken on the credit card.

It IS a difficult choice. Over the years I’ve had 17”, 16”, 13” and indeed 11”. I believe that 14” will be the sweet spot for me. However, if you’re not in the habit of moving your laptop around then perhaps the 16” is best for you.

As for the transition from Intel to M1 Pro or M1 Max, all I can say (having had an M1 MacBook Air for the last 11 months) is that you’re in for a treat. They are in a different league!

Yeah agreed, I don't use it portably a huge amount of time but it'll be nice having something less cumbersome using it on the lap.
Tbh I only moved from 13" to 16" last time round because I wanted the new keyboard and the improved graphics performance which both feature on the 14" so all good.

As for the M1 it sounds like it'll be double delight, M1 Pro and macOS Monterrey in one go.

anyone else in the 4th-8th Nov camp hoping for a bump up? If it wasn't for the apple store falling apart on all devices I'd have snagged one for the earlier 28th Oct-4th nov (or something around those dates) bracket!

what the earliest people are expecting their BTO devices?

Nope, the MacBooks are already near your home into apple logistics places.

They will ship Monday to arrive on Tuesday (like they do with the iPhones)

Assuming here that those getting charged and getting delivery on the 26th all have base models?

Could be similar to phone launches where they’ll just ship en masse via syncreon.

The BTO orders all seem to be post 26th so can see them coming out the factory and tracking

They will ship Monday to arrive on Tuesday (like they do with the iPhones)

Interesting to see that the 14" is in the lead now by 20% or so. Apple have said the 16" model is their most popular machine with "pros", so I wonder if the fact you can now get similar-specs in the smaller machine will change that?

That additional inch of screen, similar specs available and that additional weight on the 16” might push more to the 14”.

Been charged but not quite the base model, it’s one of the “ready made builds” though. 14inch 10/16/16gb. Due 26th.

Sounds about right with being sat in Hinckley already.

The pending charge from Tuesday for my BTO has dropped off so now just waiting…

Annoyingly The virgin Atlantic card I use (to earn miles) doesn’t provide notifications when purchases are made!

Seeing if apple will let my change it to another card seeing that order is still processing!

If you look at the order status page there should be a "cancel items" link. If that doesn't work or isn't there, you can chat to an advisor who will cancel it if they can, depending on where it is in the process.
