Which Model are you getting?

Apparently, on availability, the products were pre-shipped to a range of retail outlets - presumably sealed in non-seethru packaging - and so could well be good to go/collect on 26 October.

On price, that is down to agreement on policy.

Amazing if they have stock!
they may well do, as that's a standard off the shelf package - just with a decent discount (even if you add on the £15 to sign up for online membership)
it says delivery within five days too.

My order with Apple for the Mac Pro 32 GB is £2,799. For a little more look what you get (Max chip and double the drive capacity)

Costco just phoned me do verify my details and are emailing me delivery details next.

I have ordered one. Quick, bag one if you can. :)

I’m fixed on the 14” but the one you ordered is £150 cheaper for the bigger screen

Tempting to get that one from Costco but its £250 more than the 14" I have on order and I don't need the extra GPU cores and I prefer a smaller screen and lighter laptop. The 16" was always a little too large to just grab and go.

From what I recall, Costco aren't too bad on customer service either. I think they throw in a free extended warranty. Oh well, its done. I have cancelled my Apple order.

Received Costco order confirmation with estimated delivery within 5 days. Even if that gets delayed - its a nice saving and my Apple order was scheduled between 4th and 8th November.

My mate just took back a set of golf clubs he’s used all year and they didn’t bat an eyelid. Literally counted the clubs and refunded him his money.

Just ordered a 14'' macbook pro with the maxed out version of M1 Pro + 16GB Ram + 1TB SSD + 2 years extended warranty......£170 cheaper than apple....not bad at all! I called their customer service and they said delivery will be within 5 working days of placing the order....so it's looking like I will get it on Friday 29th Oct! Not bad considering the lead time from apple directly!

This is exactly what I'm wanting to order. Trying to weigh up getting it sooner from Costco vs getting the education discount through Apple ?

I'm waiting on a 16" M1 Max, 64GB, 2TB.

I specced it out immediately and saw ship dates of October 29th but it was ordered about 45 mins after the event (had to wait for someone at work) and I've got a shipment date of November 11th-18th. Amazing it slipped 12 days in about 40 minutes.

What are the delivery windows are looking like for other people with custom builds?

I've not been this excited about a new machine for a _long_ time. I'm working on a temporary M1 13" MBP with 8GB at the moment so it's going to be a big upgrade :p.

I'm an iOS dev so that memory is really hitting me hard at the moment.

I got it from Apple with student discount (although admittedly delivery wasn't an issue), I'd probably say consider if you want to get AppleCare+ or other accessories as obv these will be discounted from Apple too.

Good point actually, how much is AppleCare with student discount? In the past I've added it on later, but might just be worth biting the bullet this time.

I've just cancelled my preorder with Apple for the 14/M1Max/24GPU/32GB/1TB for a 16/M1Max/32GPU/32GB/1TB at Costco. Decided that 14 might be a bit small when using Xcode with another app and the High Power Mode might have pushed me over the edge.

16” M1Max 32Gb 2TB - Oct 29 Nov 2

@CD3660 From the bottom of my heart thank you. I had ordered the 14” 24 core version from Apple which was the maximum my budget would allow, but I have been tossing and turning for days wondering whether the screen would be too small (coming from a 16”), whether I should have gone with 16” but downspecced the GPU or SSD. Your Costco link has meant I could get the machine I know I really wanted with no compromises and within my budget. I have read these forums for a while now but never signed up due to the amount of childish and confrontational behaviour. I felt I needed to now, and you have restored my faith in the Mac community! If we were ever to meet, I would happily buy you a drink.

14” M1 Max/32GB/1TB still processing due 4-8th Nov.

I was due to get the 28-3rd window (something around then) but the store failures lost me some time

The uk threads are usually great with a lot of regulars. I don’t tend to venture into other topics on here.

Anyone got any recommendations for a sleeve for the new 16-inch MBP? Would like to have one by release if any exist yet.
