I've been following along on the mechanical failures.
My 16" Max Pro shipped via UPS has reached Germany tonight, like some others here. It was originally scheduled for delivery on Friday (tomorrow).
Apple updated my delivery (London area) to Monday this morning, so i called them and they told me would send a request to UPS for weekend delivery on my behalf.
However, if these arrive in London before tomorrow morning, does this mean tomorrow delivery might still be on??

I agree! There will clearly be UPS flights from Cologne to London and East Midlands tonight. The interesting questions are whether our laptops are on them (capacity?), how long it takes them to clear customs when they arrive (this is what currently worries me) and in consequence whether they make it onto delivery vans for tomorrow...
I agree. Will just have to get used to doing it via the menu bar. Annoying.
Those who’ve tracked DHL orders in the past:
Does the update eventually come when it first hits UK, or when it reaches a local depot?
Was definitely expecting there would have been some movement by now, but nothing at all, so unless it’s the latter of those two options, can’t see tomorrow happening.

I have the same worry. Though as mentioned before. UPS guarantees overnight deliveries from Germany. So there’s a very good chance it will be at the UK hub by 3am. Then sorted, and ready to jump on a van by 6am.
We’ll only know if the tracking updates tonight by ~3am. If not you can assume your parcel is stuck in Cologne and try and get a weekend delivery.
Historically parcels from Germany with Express Saver have been delivered the day after every single time. That’s according to other Macrumors users who shared screenshots of their old tracking numbers. Often time arriving earlier than estimated delivery time.
We should find out around 2 am at the latest, if they are, most likely they will be delivered tomorrow
Mine’s just been “Processed in East Midlands”!
If yours was 29th October to 2nd November, I think it’s pretty likely yours was on the same flight.
I’ve heard from some that theirs was scanned as processed at 19:29, mine was scanned at 19:41. I’ve seen others scanned past 20:00, so here’s hoping yours is still just waiting to be scanned. It’s also about 10 - 20 mins behind the actual scans.
Doesn’t even need to be that delivery window to be on the flight.
Mine was 8th-11th Nov, and was scanned at 19:56
Now just keeping fingers crossed that they deliver tomorrow.
Mine (DHL) scanned at 20.21, so they might be still working through them

How do I know if mine is UPS or DHL? It is still showing 29th October to 2nd November, tracking information will be supplied shortly...

Someone on the European thread just reported the import scan!
Mine was 8-11th then changed to 1st, still showing picked up in china but heading for Heathrow so maybe I’m waiting for a different DHL flight to come in
It is a hopeful precedent, but that was pre-Brexit so the customs clearance was done in Cologne; now it has to be done at Stansted so there's a lot of work to be done between 1am and 5am tomorrow morning!So the arrival time into Germany was pretty much bang on the same as my last item from Apple/UPS in china
