Just to add my $0.02 worth... I got mine today and its awesome. No wonky keys either! Phew.

Just received my macbook - first ever! It is perfect. I don't know what everyone was talking about regards the display, which is perfect. Secondly, the battery cover fits perfectly, and I don't intend to take it off until I might ever have to replace the battery. The keyboard is easy to get used to, compared to my Vaio, and the trackpad is really easy. Having never had a Mac before, being able to configure a right click is very helpful. Anything else? No - even the function keys aren't slanted!

glad you're having the perfect experience :)

my macbook is also pretty glitch free.. except there is about a 1mm gap on one side of the battery cover.. but it doesn't move around at all..
i even flipped the cover off and put it back and it's still rigid.. so it's all good

i'm very pleased with mine so far anyway :)

enjoy your mac anyway!

and i hope the shipments are starting to arrive for all the rest of the UK orders

How long does it usually take for Apple customer care to get back to you via email? It's been 24 hours since I emailed them and thought I would have heard back from them.

Ordered my macbook pro on the 23rd of October, shipped out on the 1st of November, still no sign of it arriving. If it doesn't arrive next week I'm going to be very angry.

i ordered my macbook on the 30th october and it arrived yesterday, after reading all the comments about slow shipping i thought i'd be waiting atleast 2 weeks!!!

Ordered 16th
Shipped 28th
Delivered 6th

Some keys slightly wonky, but annoyance offset by 9c8c display.

I may be tempted, when rev2 comes out, to take my macbook in to be "repaired" in the hope the wonky key thing is something that may involve a replacement, rther than a repair... Cheeky perhaps.

Anyone got any pictures as to the 'slanty' keyboard?

I think i've got that fault (function keys on top row) but to be honest im not bothered.

It's been 3 days and I haven't heard anything back from Apple Customer Care... I've sent 2 emails. Is this usual?

I contacted them once and they were pretty pronto. If you don't hear from them by the end of business hours on Monday - call them and explain.

TNT are coming by on Tuesday to pick up my MacBook then I get to wait for them to send me a new one =[ Then its going to take a while to get a non-faulty one =[

This is really annoying as it's the best computer I've ever used x,x

I phoned Apple in the end and they're going to arrange for TNT to collect my MacBook and arrange for a new one to be sent out. Just got to wait 24-48hours for an email or something...

It takes 24-48 Hours for TNT to ring you to schedule a pick up, this is quick and easy. Then once they receive the MacBook and see if what you said is true they will then send you a new one.

guys some advice:

I ordered my macbook on saturday and it says they have sent it off for delivery via UPS now, and the estimated arrival is tomorrow. Will I get my macbook tomorrow?
I don't care if I get it tomorrow, but it has to be this week; I asked for it to be posted to my parents in London as I am there this week, but on Sunday I fly back to Scotland. The only reason I had it delivered there was because the estimated delivery was so fast (I was expecting it to be weeks, like my original macbook which came from China)...but having read some posts in this thread, I'm worried it won't arrive this week, and I'll have to wait till Xmas before I'll be able to open my new macbook
