Thanks for sharing your experience. At some point, you had both watches paired to the same phone?
Yes I did but skipped the activate data plan on the second when I first set it up. I also set it up as a new watch, so not from backup.

When the parcel hits the Netherlands, can it be expected the delivery will be the following day?

Mine has gone to Preparing to ship. Earlier today it had a delivery date of 14th-21st October so fingers crossed it will be with me next week.

FFS - EE just contradict themselves all the time. Talking to different people at EE I've been told:

unpair old watch and keep data plan

unpair old watch and remove data plan

pair new watch, transfer the plan (didn't say how) then unpair old watch

call them to cancel old watch plan, unpair old watch, pair new watch and set up plan as new (for £7 a month)

There's just no consistent advice from them
My Ceramic is preparing to ship so I will call EE and when they are on the phone, pair the new watch, turn off wifi on my phone, give them the EID number and get them to transfer the plan while i am on the phone to them. Then, I will unpair my S4 ready for sale.

Anyone know if DHL give a timed delivery slot on the morning of the delivery like DPD do?
their site says in 4 different time slots...

getting mine comes Wednesday but hope it’s later in the day so the wife gets up to sign for it after her night shift.

Mine says 20th for delivery on the Apple Order Status system, but DHL says 23rd. Annoyingly, I've having it delivered to my parents' house in Northern Ireland where I'll be for the weekend, but if it arrives on Monday I'll not be there to get it. I just assumed it'd arrive on the day of release, which was possibly a bit naive.

And in the end, Apple was right, DHL was wrong. It arrived on 20th.

I think mine will fly into the airport I live 200 yards away from. Then go in a van, 20 miles away, to come back tomorrow at some time. ;) can’t make it up.

FWIW, if anyone hasn’t ordered an S5 yet, you can get £60 off a few models if you order from AO on eBay and use the code PLENTIFUL.

The whole range isn't available, but there is the 44mm cellular aluminium space grey and gold, 40mm cellular aluminium silver and gold, and 44mm gold stainless steel. Unfortunately the GPS aluminium models are out of stock, and they don't sell any of the new titanium models.

Do EE still give 6 months free Apple Watch data plan? And is it still £5 per month thereafter? If you get your Apple Watch cellular from another retailer?

I’m not sure about the free six months but I suspect that was a launch promotion when they first introduced the Watch plans. As for the monthly charge read previous posts in this thread it looks like it’s gone up to £7/ month.

It's been from the Netherlands to Germany to Luton to Heathrow so far. Could it have not just gone direct?

Yeah I agree couldn’t they just gone direct but I think their main HUB is in Germany. Mine went from netherlands to Germany to London stansted and then to my local London depo.
DHL are very fast considering it didnt leave Germany until 4am :O
