Someone who ordered with Curry’s on the 17th posted on Twitter that their live chat told him he’d be waiting a few weeks because of a technical issue.

I’ve spoken to them myself and they did suggest there had been a technical issue (the watches briefly weren’t showing on the site but they’re back now, with some still showing availability for 23/09 delivery), but that my delivery was still expected for 23/09.

Have to say it’s making me a little nervous. Considering ordering elsewhere if it doesn’t dispatch sometime before 4pm tomorrow.

It’s not so straightforward to transfer the plan to another watch when you replace the watch. You have to call EE and give them the new EEID number of the new watch. They move the plan over and it can take a few hours. I know a few people that have had some real trouble trying to get the plan sent across to a new watch.
Why is it so difficult to move the plan?

A couple years ago we purchased new watches at Christmas, and it gave EE so much issues, so we ended up returning the watches and sticking with our Series 4.

So I‘m surprised it’s STILL happening!

Yes, it is more difficult. I was taking a watch plan for the first time.

I change my watch every year and ever since a series 3 I’ve had to call EE to move the plan over to the new watch because the watch has a built in Sim. Fortunately for me every time I’ve spoken to EE, the customer service agent knew exactly what to do but it does require rebooting in the watch a couple of times as part of the process. I do know that there are number of people that have had real problems transferring plans. I think it’s easier in the US because I’ve seen youtube videos where the user just transfer a plan from watch to watch without having to call their service provider

O2 allows you to migrate the plan from one watch to the next without any intervention required. Worked remarkably well when I had a spell of duff AppleCare warranty replacements in quick succession.

Sadly, that's the only positive thing I can say about O2 and Apple Watches. I lost connectivity for no discernible reason at the end of July and over a month later, O2 couldn't/wouldn't help me. Moved back to EE and it's been plain sailing ever since.

The exact reason I have trust issues with them. I've got orders with Currys on Buy now, Pay in 6 months, interest free (so no money out of my pocket yet). Another order with Amazon with 5 monthly payments, and a final one with Argos where I've paid in full - but its easy to cancel or return to a physical store.

Hopefully at least one will send me a dispatch confirmation tomorrow. My bet is Argos.

Box still haven’t given me a tracking number.. the watch was due for delivery today and still no sign of movement despite them saying they’d despatched yesterday

Apple have taken my money for the ultra but not the AirPods. Both are still preparing to dispatch so should see movement in the next few hours.
Edit - Status on the web page now says ”Arriving tomorrow” for both items

Not an ultra but ordered a Hermes with bleu de France strap on Tuesday. Looks like that’s shipping from china with ups. Would have thought the Hermes bands were made in France, funny how they’ve then potentially been shipped to china to then come back to Europe!?

I’d assume the ultra and AirPods will be like the phones for launch day and originate from syncreon

Still no EE/DPD notifications as of yet. Anyone else?
Nothing from EE for me yet either.
Although with the rumoured delays I spoke to EE though the App Chat yesterday and was told they have no information, but he then said it would be delivered Monday, but then corrected himself and said it could be Friday, but couldn't guarantee it.
He ended the chat by offering mt a credit to my account to apologise for this delay... so read into that what you will

Nice!

Hope you enjoy the Hermes. I've always fancied buying the orange strap off eBay.

Got my Vodafone Ultra despatch notification a little after 08:00 this morning, arriving tomorrow with DPD.
No movement on AirPods pro 2 yet.

All of you who ordered from EE , should get notification by now from DPD on they app (if you not registered with them you won’t get anything) , still till now I didn’t get no email , no text confirmation from EE and customer service told me I wouldn’t get it on Friday , so it is huge mess.
