UK & EU 27 inch Delivery Thread

UK & EU 'Sometime in January'

Wow, time seems to be going by rather slowly at the moment. Thought I would add a quick post though for those of us who were a little slower out of the gate with orders.

I placed my order on the 8th Dec and still showing as processing. Hoping though that the 30th Nov orders must have been very high with those who were poised to order these past few months meaning once they all start to complete attention will swiftly move through the orders placed in the days following.

The Apple store is still showing 'January' as delivery day and this is some 10-days after I placed an order so hopefully this means early-Jan delivery rather than late. Who knows - all I know is my present iMac seems much slower of late than it used to!!

Mine has. I bet it is just a tracking-problem. Your iMac is probably in Arnhem. (But I would be nervous too . . .) :eek:

Phoned them and they said definitely (double definitely) will be delivered today.

On expeditors my status has changed to Services Completed: Delivered, I guess this means it is now with the final courier. Hopefully it will come tomorrow now.

and I'm expecting to see the status change to 'Out for Delivery' today (it's currently showing as 'Ready for Delivery'), but seeing as though I ordered both Applecare and a Thunderbolt cable, does 'Out for Delivery' mean that it's being delivered to Apple for merging, or to me?

I've phoned Apple a few times and they've always said Applecare isn't actually a physical item, so I'm guessing it's merging with the Thunderbolt cable. By the way, my order was placed in the first few minutes of 27" iMacs going on sale on the 30th, and through the HE store.

Mine was the same as yours until this afternoon. It now says 'delivered to consignee'... but I guess I wasn't the consignee as it wasn't delivered to me :)

I'm guessing it's now with Apple for onward sending to me in Norfolk. I've only ordered Apple Care to go with the Mac so not sure if it's because of that - but I recongnise other comments about this not being a physical product.

I have no delivery service listed yet and my delivery date is still showing as '20th'. Hoping it might come a day or so earlier based it being 'delivered' somewhere in London this afternoon!

It will be, I'm sure it will move soon. They could have been delivered today or tomorrow if UPS would have flown them on Sunday when they got them to the cologne hub.

Dude I ordered on the 30th just a matter of hours after they went on sale and I'm still processing.

Really starting to get frustrated seeing everyone tracking their flights and excitedly anticipating their delivery any minute, many of whom ordered after me. My dates were 28th-4th January and I guess it's still on track for that but it seems I'm one of the few unlucky ones who will not get it several days before due.

I'm going to start a club for sad 30th November orderers like me who still have their orders processing, Apple God doesn't love us. ;) :(

Who wants to/(has no option but) to join my club?

Hmm. Mine was one of the iMacs that made it to the Apple merge centre today to mate with the other parts of our orders, and my shipping status on the Apple site has now slipped to 21st instead of 20th. Wonder if they can't find me a USB SuperDrive?

Also only found out today about the 3Tb Fusion/Boot Camp issue. Not sure whether I would have ordered smaller if I'd known that in advance, but still an annoying problem.

On the plus side, my Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter has turned up ahead of the expected date, so I will now at least be able to do a migration off of the old "mostly dead" 2008 iMac (there's something up with the GFX card I think - it won't boot in to any OS but will run in target disk mode).

EDIT: Hit refresh and I'm back on the 20th. Go figure.

Welcome.

I just phoned up to see what was going on and the guy just gave me the old "3-4 weeks" thing, said everything is on track but 3-4 weeks and when I said others have had theirs shipped already he said just because they're prepared for shipping doesn't mean they'll receive it before the 3-4 weeks.

:( Still waiting.....still processing....(well I assume it is I can't actually check the status currently). Not good.
 
Received mine (UK) at 2.35pm today, after ordering just after they became available on the 30th.

It looks awesome, but the main thing for me is the sheer size of it (going from a 21" to the 27")

edit: I was initially given dates of Dec 21 - Jan 2 for delivery.

Is TNT not allowed to ship the iMac earlier than the estimated delivery date?
My estimated delivery date is the 18.12.2012.

So look at this:

I would definitely give TNT a call. No reason not to deliver it ASAP.

No worries. I hope everybody can get their imac before xmas.
I'm typing on it now. The screen is so nice (I didn't have a 27inch iMac before)

Surprisingly, they gave a trackpad with only 8% battery in. Not good enough.

Overall, I'm very happy. Loving the box as well.
