Hi there,

Some more info for you guys that are getting this beast shipped with TNT to Amsterdam (where i happen to live)

Here is my TNT info:

Expected delivery is tomorrow.

Anyways i thought i'd call TNT to see if i could pick it up at the Amsterdam hub at the end of the day so i could start using the thing already!! But they told me that transit from Arnhem to Amsterdam happens during the night time. And since driving to Arnhem is a bit to much out of my way, i decided to just wait another day until delivery tomorrow. It will be somewhere between 9am and 4 pm.

Patience...

Thank you so much! Great news. I'm also waiting in amsterdam. Very tempting to drive to Arnhem to be honest ;).

The delivery depot for UPS is around 5 minutes from my house! I bet that means it arrives very late, whilst the delivery person is on their way back.

How I wish I could track vehicles as well. Would love to see it moving on the map.

Hi guys

Expeditors showing this for me on the event timeline:

20-Dec-2012 15:00:00 GMT Requested Delivery Date

Is that delivery to me, or to Apple??

Cheers

Del

Is your iMac sitting at its final home or the warehouse then?

Mine is still at the warehouse, just got notification that my card has been charged so it should be out for delivery tomorrow—which meets the promised date. There should be a pile of systems arriving this week, so lots of activity in the MAC OS 'what do I do next' forum.

I've only had my MacBook Air eight months so I could probably use Time Machine or Migration Assistant to bring things over, but I think I'll do a clean install. I've bought a second copy of Parallels Desktop v8 to install, everything else I already had sufficient licence rights to install second copies.

Then it's full speed ahead on a rapid migration of work-type files from our Windows network, coupled with finishing off a book I'm writing. One of the nicest writing tools I've found on :apple: (and since realised is on Windows as well) is Scrivener.

Then followed by importing many years of hobby photos and VHS and Hi-8 video. Phew! I managed to 'locate' a copy of iDVD which is no longer part of the iLife software so at least I can burn to those obsolete shiny round things that Apple no longer thinks the rest of the world uses.

Good luck with that. I'll have to sort out my MBP.
Not sure if I should sell it or keep it.

Still processing!! I ordered on the 30th, how many 30th orderers are still in my position.

I'll be really disappointed if I see no movement by the end of the day. being a few hours off the pace appears to have lost me 1 and a half weeks so far

I am still the same. Ordered on 30th Nov. still processing :(

I hope it can speak German when it gets here, it's had enough time to learn.

Same batch as you!

I am losing the will to live... Why am I compelled to keep refreshing this thread, as well as my order status (still processing)? This is really winding me up! Who waits months for a computer, only then to wait another month for it to be delivered? WE'RE CRAZY...

That is not right. What is on your order?

I ordered the base £1499 model on 12 december and I am expecting it this wednesday.

Just enjoy the anticipation of your new shiny computer, that will feel so normal after a couple months...

...losing the will to live... I know we are all geeky and that, but that's a little bit stretching it..

the 27" one?!?!

Anyone in the batch of
15 Dec 2012 00:41:38 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit
got its tracking status updated ?

I still don't see anything - as if my 27" would have missed the TNY3v002 flight from Shanghai to Liege and be still sitting in Pudong's premises :(

I could put two words together lucky and bastard. But I won't... I ordered a BTO iMac i7, 2GB GTX 680, 8GB RAM, 1TB Fusion. £2179.00 on the 4th (although only went into processing on the 5th).

Should have not spent so much time working out if I wanted to go for a standard build and then modify (I was going to get the i5 and buy a thunderbolt SSD to do fusion), or go for BTO. I had a spreadsheet of all the costs of doing different things... That is how sad I am....
