But ship soon could be interpreted in whatever way you like. I bought the moment it was available with 2-3 weeks of delivery. That's 1,5 weeks ago. For a normal human 1,5 weeks of more waiting is durable and 'soon? .... But not for us :D

Indeed that's true :D Originally i wanted to upgrage my shipping to express-shipping. But she said "It's not possible anymore, apple received the payment and the iMac will ship soon." (Tried to translate it as accurately as i could.)

I guess when it is to late for them to change the shipping order it must mean really soon. Like right before it leaves the factory. Or does anyone here knows more about how long it takes from payment to "preparing for shipment"?

But then again i was ready to buy this thing since June, so 2-3 weeks more are not too bad ;)

Not long I guess since they charged you ! Yours is really shipping soon. Your status should change during the evening !

I will post a screenshot as soon as it happens. What i am asking myself is if the early shipping can be connected to my order type. I did not order in the store itself. I did it on the phone because i tried to avoid any connection issues to the store.

My order placed 30 Nov still quotes 21 Dec - 02 Jan. I've just checked my credit card—no pending transactions or anything. :(

I suspect what the Apple staff meant was you couldn't change any element of your order, the is the same with all of us.

The top 27" with 1TB Fusion will be available in the bricks and mortar stores in the UK. Not sure which graphics card... One option (if you credit card can stand it) is to buy instore when they arrive (20 December?) and then return the one that's due 27 Dec - 3 Jan.

*High 5* Londoner,

Mine too still processing, with est delivery date 21 Dec - 02 Jan, nothing appeared on CC.

Don't want it to ship earlier as I won't be at home to pick it up before 20th.

I just cancelled my order as I have decided that I need the 3TB Fusion and have taken the view that Apple will work out a fix for Bootcamp so it works on drives over 2.2TB.

That means I have gone from 27/28 Dec to "January". Ho hum.

Doesn't it take around 4 weeks or more for a shipping container to get from China to the UK?

If they haven't been shipped yet then........what the funk?

Or do they come by plane.....?

It takes them around 3 days from leaving China to door in my experience. If you have ordered any additional items (chargers/applecare) they will merge in transit. Normally go to the one of the UK Hubs then UPS to door

So no UK orders shipped yet, maybe it has something to do with Apple not setting the iMac 'select' buttons live until 15 minutes after the USA. I ordered immediately and still nothing. Sure some of you people are in the same boat.

Bearing in mind that it is 2AM in Shanghai, not sure we will see any movement tonight, could be wrong.

Really, 3 days is pretty fast.

My first date is December 28th so I suppose I can't really expect to see any movement until right before Christmas.

Will additional items slow things down a bit? All I added was a thunderbolt cable and applecare.

Am I the only one clicking "refresh" on the order status page every ten minutes or so to see if it's finally preparing to ship? :D
