I doubt a simple "thank you" can express my gratitude towards you but it will have to make do. Thank you for pointing out that widget! :)

It's a great little widget, I use it for everything I order these days.

The UPS app is also a godsend if you are not at home waiting for your order.

I use posted on my iphone, which gives me a notification whenever the shipping updates. ...THough doesn´t help much when apple doesn´t want to ship the imac to me :(

So no UK orders shipped yet, maybe it has something to do with Apple not setting the iMac 'select' buttons live until 15 minutes after the USA. I ordered immediately and still nothing. Sure some of you people are in the same boat.

I phoned up Educational Store at 8:00 am and it took quite a few minutes fro him to confirm that he could start taking iMac orders. Then my credit card authorisation failed and by the time I got an alternative payment sorted it was about the same time the "Select" buttons were live. My order confirmation email was issued at 8:20am 30th Nov 2012

Lets just hope the UK gets some love tomorrow, its nearly 7 AM in Shanghai now, another day another 1 million refreshes of my order status.

Yes indeed, and thanks to your post about the Delivery Status Widget I have now rediscovered Widgets. Couple of Widget World clocks also setup, including Cupertino and shanghai :) Cheers :D

Still no one has status changed? :(

nope :( I'm still wondering if I should call apple and ask for some express delivery.
I have asked this question many times but without any answer. Does anyone know if you can ask for express delivery in Europe ? You can't choose it on the webpage. But, I mean, for me I have to according to the info I have wait 3 weeks after its shipped to receive the iMac....that's just super annoying. How can FedEx or UPS use 3 weeks to Norway ? That's worse than snail mail.

Amazing! Cheers :)

Just loaded it with Apple UK, Apple France and Amazon orders. Works perfectly! So nice to have it all in 1 place. Shame the App is 2quid though ...

I've been using this app for some years, and it's not at all a shame it costs two quid. Support the devs. I can't live without this app.

its ridiculous how US orders are on their way to customers and EU orders made on the same time span (or even before) are still in processing...

it's not about waiting, it's about being fair... ordered in the first minute with express checkout and still received 27th Dec / 03rd Jan, while US customers had 21/28 Dec...

Same here. We pay more (even when you calculate 20% VAT) and get treated worse. The iMacs are coming from China FFS. There's probably some "'MUURRICA"-thing going on.

I agree. Not really cool.
It seems that some people outside the US begin receiving shipment notifications. There is still hope :D

It is possible that our EU 27-inch iMacs are being built in Ireland (like some of the EU 21.5 inch models).

We had a similar 'issue' with the first iPad. All the US orders shipped from China a few days before launch day. We all thought the rest of us had been left out, but then our orders shipped from the UK, and mine arrived a day EARLY!

To be fair. We will only be a couple of days after USA. If you want an example of a company that doesn't look after Europe, look at every Playstation launch since the beggining of time. Grrr. The PSP launch took 9 months from Japan release. As a 14 yr old it was the longest 9 months of my life. I can hang on a few days for this mac. I think.

Same with my 1st Gen iPad it came a day early.

Argh I'm sitting here in my Home Office, trying (!) to do some work on a crappy Atom powered netbook, desperatly hoping for an early delivery and now I get the feeling that everyone but me gets their iMac before Christmas *rage*

I havent had time to check all the threads, but what is the perceived wisdom that iMacs hit the physical Apple stores? Because that is the date, I'd expect a lot of the deliveries in Europe to take place also. In the UK in particular we NEVER see anything delivered ahead of launch date whilst pretty much everywhere else seems to have a few sneak through.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet, It only takes 3 days from China to your door in the UK via one of two UK hubs. The USA will get a few days head start shipping before they start sending to the UK because they send them to more hubs around the US.

I have a funny feeling that UK orders will start shipping around the 14th for delivery around the 18th ( for those who's orders say before the 28th) but if we are lucky maybe sooner. I would like to hope they under promised and over deliver on estimated deliver by dates.

I was about to post the same thought. Ireland assembled at least some, if not all, of the early 21" models landing in the UK.

I'm now resorting to checking every couple of hours! :D

I hope you're right and we get delivery around the 18th, that would be a great Christmas present.
