UK/Europe order/delivery thread MBA 2012

Order one day after on the 17th June showing same estimated delivery date on 27th but unlike others who got direct flight to the UK, according to expo.o the package is transported via Germany and still in Frankfurt....

so.. ordered a MBA 11/128/2.0/8gb 19th June.

ETA for delivery 25June.
I really hope i can get it so early 'cause i'm traveling away for 3 weeks the 27th and i really need my new baby for working abroad :D:D
 
i didn't realise that the RAM was soldered in when i ordered my bto air and
am starting to regret the decision not to upgrade the ram to 8gb...

my order has shipped but not delivered. what are the options for upgrading? cheers.
 
Without reading every single post, I'm seeing a lot of those ordered are BTO with 8GB RAM or a larger SSD and are taking around 7-10 days to arrive.

I'm planning on ordering the 11-inch Air with a 128GB SSD. How long can I expect delivery to take?

Send it back and re-order.

If you are in the UK you have 2 weeks under the Long Distance Selling Regs to send it back.
 
On expo.expeditors.com it now says:

Out for Delivery: 22-Jun-2012 10:31:00 GMT

Does that mean it's in my country and on its way to me now? If so, shouldn't I get a UPS tracking number? How can I find out where it is?

lucky you! I have the same estimated delivery day (25th) and still no word from apple since Expeditors delivered it to them.

So how long did it take between expeditors delivering to asignee, and you receiving your tracking number?
 
Out of interest people who have ordered BTO through eductaion store are they arriving early or on the date quoted by Apple.

Ordered on 18th with estimated delivery of on or before 28th, want to take the day off work but dont want to take more than a day. So should i expect it to arrive on 28th or earlier?

Out for delivery means it's on its way to Apple. You'll get the UPS tracking no. after Apple has received it.

IIRC their merging facility is in Eindhoven. That date is when they get it. From their it will be sent to you. You'll get it on (or slightly before) the day Apple tells you. My MBA in the same shipment as yours. My delivery date is June 28 so they still have ample time.

Ok. Mine actually says July 3rd, but that would be insane considering I ordered it June 12th...

Delivered to Apple yesterday. I still haven't actually had an email from Apple with tracking info, I just happened to log in to Apple to check on the shipping info and noticed it had been updated with UPS number.

Although, it still hasn't arrived so it's down to the wire for the UPS 7pm final delivery time!

Must've been the last delivery of the day but it's arrived. I'm on it now and it's rather nice I must say!

By complete coincidence, the Joli Originals sleeve I ordered for it arrived at the same time as it was also sent via UPS! The Jolie sleeve compliments it nicely!
 
Yay Apple (24 hours after delivered to consignee) have now provided a UPS tracking number. Almost there!

Delivery date still 25th June. Guess I have to wait the weekend for my shiny new toy :(

What are they doing with it for 24 hours? Also, even after all the hassle of 'merging' my air and student gift card it is still two packages. I could have waited for the gift card!

Similar situation happened to me.
Funds were withhold from account but not transferred, then released again to available funds with no sign of payment going through.
Rechecked bank account a day later, payment taken and appear on statement.
 
My 11" MBA + Gift Card finally arrived today to Toledo, Spain. Came via TNT in the early afternoon, something like 20h after leaving the merging facilities in Milano, Italy.

To sum up, I placed the order on the 12th, laptop was shipped form China on the 14th, left merging facilities late on 21st and finally arrived home on the 22nd.
 
Just got a ring at the doorbell and rushed down to be greeted by the TNT man.
Alas... my MacBook Air is finally here! (Ordered on 13th". Originally estimated for delivery on 22nd. Changed to 25th).

I have to say, even though I wasn't impressed with the initial delays from Apple, the way they turned this around was great.

I called up yesterday morning to complain that I still didn't have tracking number etc, despite the MBA being in the country and with the Merging facility. The lovely Apple lady checked and confirmed that it would be passed onto a courier and be with me on Monday. (They don't do weekends on standard shipping)

Not great for me as I'm flying out on Sat 23rd! I explained this to her, and told her that my original shipping date was 22nd. She asked me to stay on hold for a moment to have a chat with her supervisor. About 30 seconds later, she explained that because the delay was on their side, and I need it before flying out, she's going to contact the merging facility and get them to hand it to the courier for a Saturday delivery to guarantee I get it before my flight!

She called back a few hours later with a TNT tracking number. Awesome!

Good luck to the rest of you... hope your lovely MacBook Airs arrive soon.

Congrats on your new mac!

Mine is currently in Tamworth, UK where UPS picked it up from Apple. Does anyone know what the Apple facility is there? Is it just a distribution centre?

How long did it take you guys to get the tracking number, and how long did it take from you got it till your Air arrived?

Also, do Apple/UPS/whoever has the package now, not do anything in weekends?
