So finally got it today! Nice improvement over the original ETD, which was July 3.

So in total 9 days from order to delivery.

9 days? Lucky you! I ordered 10 days ago and it's still showing as order processing with a delivery date of the 13th July (originally the 25th June). Rubbish service!

Same here, the delivery was supposed to happen today, but UPS is showing an Exception with following details:
"Koeln, Germany 06/28/2012 4:47 A.M. The package was left in a UPS facility. / Delivery rescheduled."

Believe still that I should get it tomorrow, even if the original ETA was on the 4th of July.
 
I ordered my MacBook Air 13" i5/8gb/128gb last monday (25th June). The package will be delivered by UPS.

So it has been in transit for delivery from 10:41am in germany, surely it will get to the UK overnight tonight for delivery tomorrow..

Im losing the battle of June 25th race here between you and Alias :(

Do you get an email as soon as it ships? Probably the only way i'll know without having to keep logging in on the Apple website.

Scrap all of the above, a quick check before i posted this, shipped! We'll probably be on the same plane over here then :D
 
So does mine, but there seems to be a theme that they are overly cautious on that one and the apple original estimate is bang on. (Fingers crossed)
 
Looks like mine is going round the world, so far it has been to:

Shanghai - china (obviously)
Incheon - Korea
Almaty - Kazakhstan
Cologne - Germany
Warsaw - Poland

Ben & Garf, track it on http://expo.expeditors.com/ it tells you when its expected to reach the merging centre. Mines supposed to get there on the 2nd so expecting it on the 4th. My guess would be that you will get yours on the 5th.

I've had mine since Tuesday, and still have not got the shipping email from Apple yet.

For the record, UK 13"/128/8GB HE order with gift voucher ordered on 16th, arrived 26th via UPS.
 
UPS tracking is all messed up. Surely it cant have been sent from China, to Korea to Germany, to Kazakhstan, back to Germany, back to Kazakhstan, then to Poland, and back to Germany again!

I have tried http://expo.expeditors.com/ but it comes back with no information on the tracking number.
 
I ordered the base 13" yesterday and estimated delivery was today, I thought that was pretty fast. Anyway, the student gift card arrived today but the laptop did not, is this usually the case? Just my order from apple seems to state that it was all one package and not split in to two separate ones.

This is in the UK, even on the syncreon website it states that there is one package of 3.14kgs but doesn't mention the gift card and computer being in individual packages.

EDIT: On the apple tracking page it is marked as shipment 1 of 1 and has status delivered, but all I have is the gift card.

It didn't. It went from China to Korea, then the package data was sent to German customs in advance (so it could be pre-cleared, meaning a faster delivery). After leaving Korea, it went to Kazakhstan. Then German customs cleared the delivery in advance as it says in the tracking. After Kazakhstan it went to Poland and has now actually arrived in Germany :)

Hope that clears it up a bit.
 
@Ben - Looks like ours are booked on the 10:10 tomorrow Flight from Pudong to Heathrow eta 21:00 - no doubt it will sit there for the weekend and we'll see it Tues.

@Slickshoes - how on earth did you order a base MBA and get next day delivery? Thats amazing! Bit worrying you didn't actually get the MBA though.. what did apple say? (Phone them!)

I phoned apple in the UK and just got an automated service that can re send me order confirmation or tracking details. I will keep trying. Apple website still says that my order is 1 of 1 but to me it looks like syncreon who are delivering it have split it in to two orders, problem with that is now that part 1 is here the apple website is convinced that the whole order has been delivered.

EDIT: got through to a person at apple who is contacting the courier, they said that the parcel shouldn't be split in to two parts, but sometimes it happens. So the courier who is syncreon has delivered me Part 2 even though its only meant to be one parcel so that updates UK mail and Apple that the whole thing has been delivered even when it hasn't.

It says this on the syncreon website: Account APPLE Weight 3.14 Kgs

If you say something like "delivery problem" on the phone and stay on the line it should put you through to their call centre (it has with me anyway).

Aye i did thanks!

Anyway the laptop just arrived a couple of hours later in a different bundle so they must have been split into separate vans for some reason, panic over!

EDIT: Now i can be astounded at how fast that arrived, it was less than 24 hours since I ordered it! AMAZING!

@slickshoes, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't in the same van, and the delivery guy saw one parcel and missed the weight bit.

Friend ordered an iMac, iPad for her daughter (before the HE gift card offer and I haven't the heart to tell her!!) and it was only her insistence on sending the driver in the van to ferret for it did he find the iMac.

At least you have it now. My order date of mid July is coming ever closer!

Well it arrived as UPS predicted on the 29th!
Apple's page said 28th, but UPS were correct in the end.

It managed to go from China, to Korea, Khazakstan, Poland and Germany and then the UK within 24 hours, but then, it sat 50mi away from me for another 24 hrs!

My assumption is that these all get shipped as a large pallet, and that they then take a while to split the pallet and send the individual items out.

CTO - Original Order Date: 21st
Shipped by Apple: 25th (Although actually left China on the 27th, so this is actual ship date)
Arrived in UK: 28th (early morning)
Arrived with me: 29th
 
I was supposed to recieve my replacement MacBook Air today (the original one arrived with a dent out of the box).

This one didn't go via the exp.o guys. UPS picked it up directly from China to deliver to my address. No merging etc in UK. So I thought it would be quicker. I was wrong. For some reason, UPS has decided to give my MBA a tour of europe!

Why did it go back to Germany?!!
The original one made the trip (via exp.o) from Shanghai to London in a day! Very confusing...
