The original one made the trip (via exp.o) from Shanghai to London in a day! Very confusing...

haha snap. Mine was exactly the same. They are probably on the same pallet. There is a good explanation a page earlier in the thread

If you had read the post, 8 up from yours, it would be slightly less confusing.

Right you are sirs! So it's only made one trip to Germany after all...
Our tracking reports are identical so we'll probably recieve at the same time. Looks like it'll be a Monday delivery...

Looking through the Expo tracking, if the requested delivery date is July 3rd at 2pm, does that mean its expected to be at my house for then, or whoever will be delivering it will pick it up at that time?

It means that it'll be delivered to Apple's merging centre by that date and time. Sometimes it'll be delivered to Apple earlier.

Then you need to wait for them to merge it with your other items and then pass it onto UPS who will ship it to you, usually takes less than 24 hours (in the UK at least).

Can't figure out these flight times at all, if the plane takes off at 10:10 Singapore time, and gets into London at 9pm GMT, the flights 11 hours or so and they're 7 hours in front..confused! Unless it stops off in another country (which I've never thought of seeing as it says Singapore>London

I think in you case its Shanghai---Singapore----London.

Mine went Shanghai----Kazakhstan----Frankfurt----London but no it only shows Frankfurt----London.

Judging by a flight tracker i just looked at (Virgin Atlantic flight 251 if anyone can confirm this) the flight landed at heathrow at 16:39, unless I'm reading it wrong. So I'm not sure what to believe seeing as it said 21:01 yesterday

Apple do use flight VS251 for direct routes to London. Believe the flight tracker, you'll find that expo updates very shortly to say that it has arrived. You then need to wait for it to be cleared by customs.

So my MBA has landed in London. Took 3 days from China but takes another 5 days to get to me when I am an hour away. Something Apple needs to review and sort out or at least gives us the option of paying more for faster delivery or for 2 serrate packages. This is pretty ridiculous.

The wait continues!

If you're making that conclusion based on the estimated delivery date that Apple gave you I'd ignore it. It's likely to arrive before that date.

Nope taking into account it arriving a day before the estimate. Someone in the company needs to evaluate their procedures. I remember earlier in the thread someone emailed Tim Cook regarding this and had a call of his secretary explaining that the people who need to know have been informed that its a problem.

So hopefully the next Mac I buy in a few years won't take so long!

Need to stop tracking!

When did you receive your UPS tracking number... On the day of delivery ?

Well it went from Pudong to LHR on Fri and finally got released from customs at 0900 this morning.

Though apparently the requested delivery date is tomorrow at 1400 - is that to the merging centre or me? Seems rediculous it's going to take 29 hrs to go to the next stage. It's getting closer and now frustrating me more

So impatient!

Same here. Although looking at slims tracking above it looks like we're 24hrs behind and he says hell get it tomorrow, so we should get it Wednesday I'm guessing?

Mine is currently Out for Delivery (tracking via UPS).

Fingers crossed that this one will be ok out of the box!
