UK/Europe order/delivery thread MBA 2012

Its here!! Looks even better than what i thought it would :D writing this from it. arrived at around 1:05..not that that should really help anybody, still, happy!!:cool::apple:
 
Glad it arrived OK Ben!

It's a lovely bit of kit isn't it! Can't get over how quick it wakes up when you open the lid - also had it on or lid closed since about 10am and it's still showing 3 hrs remaining on the battery which is great.

Very happy, thin yet still feels really sturdy :)

I was hoping to run the battery fully down before I did a full charge with it, first thing I did though was a software update which said for best results plug into a power source. As of now though after some browsing using safari and twitter running its showing 6:51 at 94%.

You're right about the speed, its amazing! This is my first Mac so its gonna take some getting used to having been on Windows.

No complaints! ...apart from one....the caps lock key is pretty annoying D: But thats just me being picky

Yeh got it at 3pm but then had to go out after! Just settled down to setup everything now. Seems like I was the last one to get it today!

Definetley already noticing the speed difference to my 2010 UMBA, main improvement i noticed is the RAM. Not liking this new magsafe though, slight touch and it comes out!

If anyone is looking at this thread now this is what to expect if you orders are being merged.

Day 1 - Ordered
Day 2 - Preparing for shipment
Day 3 - Dispatched
Day 5 - Arrives in the UK
Day 7 - Arrives at merging centre
Day 9 - Delivered

Look back through the last 5 page and you will see detailed info of what the process is.

Feel free to correct if i made a mistake.

UPDATE: Anyone know why the procedure will be when Mountain Lion is released as we get a free upgrade?

Go to the ML page on the apple website and you'll find a link or something of the sort on there saying you have to enter your serial number and 'register' once ML is released, sounds pretty straight forward. I'd post a link but I'm writing this on my phone!

Mines finally arrived in the UK at UPS Hub Castle Donington, one week after ordering. It's an 11inch with 8GB Ram.

It was scheduled for delivery today but as the latest update is 'arrived at Castle Donington' at 3.42AM, and nothing further since, then I don't expect delivery today.. Maybe tomorrow!
 
Wow.. Pooowwer!

Well after 6+ years since getting my first MacBook Pro 17" (2006) then onto a Unibody MacBook Pro 13" (2009) I thought it would take a lot to get me excited about a Mac again... and wow "didn't they do well" (in a Bruce Forsyth accent)

I just cant get over the ergonomics of such a powerful machine, who keeps lifting it up to feel the weight ??

Basically exactly the same Slim! apart from this is my first mac, so you can probably guess just how happy i am with this. especially the fact that I'm still on 37% battery now and I've not had to charge it since last night (understand that on my vaio before this i was getting around 25 minutes battery, 3 years old)

deffinitely not going back to windows now! Really cannot wait for mountain lion, the whole integration with notification centre and iMessage is brilliant imo, hurry up!
the speed though....wow!
 
Ordered BTO 13" Air in store Finland 25th June. Arrived yesterday - wohoo!
 
My macbook is now in Köln, Germany, apparently. Hope it continues shipping closer (to me in sweden) and doesn't take a de-tour back to asia, as I've read that can sometimes happen :S

Est. delivery tuesday. Hoping for a monday miracle! :D
 
Ordered the new MacBook Air on the 18th June. Delivery was meant to be 25th June. This changed to 13th July and now it's changed to 1st August! Forget it. I'm cancelling my order. What's the point? Never ordering from Apple again.

*UPDATE* Just gone to cancel and now it's showing as dispatched. Do you think it'll be here before the 1st August?

Mine was ordered 04.07.2012 from amazon.de to Canary Islands and UPS tracking system gone crazy :)

Mine went from Köln, Germany to Almaty, Kazakhstan, then to Warsaw, Poland and then back to Köln again xD

Logistics-logic aside this feels like a waste of airplane fuel. :p Oh well I hope it continues its crazy journey through the weekend as well.
 
After all my whinging, I finally received my MacBook Air a day after receiving the dispatch notification. It's beautiful, simply beautiful. There was almost a tear coming from my eye as I opened the box. Ok, maybe that's a bit over the top.

I live in country where we don´t have Apple Store, only Apple Premium Authorised Resellers (same price, 2 years warranty and so) and I have to wait 3-5 weeks for configured Macbook Air 13 :(

This is the same in Holland. Orders via APR 3-5 weeks, orders via apple.com 2 weeks...
