Not sure if you are joking or....

But yes, its a thing, taken from .gov website:

In addition, we are advising people not to travel into or out of an area if it has been categorised as a very high alert level area. This is part of wider measures to help manage the risk of transmission. You can continue to travel into or out of very high alert level areas if you need to for work, education, to access youth services or because of caring responsibilities.
Key word advise - it’s not illegal to travel into or out of those areas.

If it was illegal they wouldn’t use the word ‘advise’.

I don't think anyone is saying it is illegal, but I think we all agree its not right - especially for a phone. I have not seen my parents (and haven't since Christmas) so if someone was to break the RULES for a phone I'd obviously be a bit miffed.

100% agreed.

Ah sorry, I was only looking on the High level. On that page it says that you can travel but only with members of your own family so assumed traveling into a very high would be fine...

Are these really happening? I’ll have to stay in on Saturday if so! Will wait until late Friday to cancel my in store pickup.

If I get a 256gb Pro for £849, I’ll be made up.
It would seem so going off the emails people have received when they had multiple phones in one order.
I'm not going to cancel my Apple order until I've got the Amazon order though...

I'm bored of the politics - which cases are people getting aka apple or other companies? I want to order a 12 Pro Max case now before I get to order the Apple one on Nov 6.

I got an Apple red case, and some ESR cases. Will keep the apple red case for when I go to the gym etc.

I’ve got a ESR clear silicone one from Amazon for a fiver whilst I decide what to buy for my Pro. Is it wrong to fancy the clear MagSafe case from Apple? I quite like it against the Pacific Blue.

Distract me with cases, I’m tempted to buy an iPad Air with some of my £250 savings from the Amazon order 😂

Haha, I've been trying to convince my wife that with the money saved I could get an extra Sonos speaker for the gym... still not worked.

I agree 100%. My equivalent price plan was £2 cheaper, so to upgrade I have to get the 256gb and pay £50 for the handset (which I want back) and £2 more p/m for two years.. I emailed Marc Allera on Monday and no one has contacted me yet so chased today. Not sure how yours was £450 though as this website says its £495

Yeah may have got that wrong. I didn't use that option, I completely bought out of my contract at £550. Sold the phone for £685, and then moved to a £18 sim only for 200GB data. Then bought the handset outright from apple via monthly payments. Works out much cheaper. Even at 12 months into the payments you could trade in your handset with apple , pay the remaining balance off and start again. Although selling elsewhere always pockets you more.

But the magsafe white ugly label? I can't. I nope. I want an otterbox one but apple haven't put it on for preorder yet - just coming soon. I might just get a cheap spigen one from amazon.

I'd just get it anyways lol

Basicaly my point, I'm not sure "I'm collecting my new iPhone" will count...

I don't know why anyone is choosing to collect from store in the middle of a pandemic. Just get it delivered home or to a local drop off point (eg convenience store)

EE’s ‘anytime upgrade’ is a con. I was on it and when they revealed this years prices all plans had increased in cost. You can only upgrade to a plan equivalent or greater than your old one and even then the choice is deliberately limited. I paid off the contract , sold the phone , pocketed £130 and went to sim only with buying from apple direct.
those who want to stick with EEs upgrade cycle might also want to consider keeping the handset, not trading it in and doing the ‘no device to trade’ upgrade and then sell it privately. For a 11 pro 256, the fee was only £450, and your could get £685 privately.
Only reason i stick with EE is because i get 20% off through my employer benefits. Apart from that i agree i’d go sim only

Some people don't want to wait all day - just pick it up at their convenience. Each to their own.

I have got that on its way from America

Has it arrived? I don't want to wait forever for it - I have no patience.
