Ordered Friday, shipped Friday. Still in USA. Going via Netherlands. I'd wait until they are on Amazon, although I asked and they said 4-6 weeks to me before they are on Amazon. They are amazing cases though. I used the frosted for about 6 months on my 11 now using the clear.
Update: Just checked tracking and its left the USA
Yes that is correct, there is never Apple pre-order with John Lewis, order from 8am Friday pending on launch day availability.
I am considering ordering from JL instead of Apple pre-order for my Pro Max but too worried about their stock inventory this year.
I had to wait for the Apple store to load on my phone and couldn't do the financing on the iPad (it has to be done on the phone). So to ensure I got an iPhone that day I selected in-store, knowing that stores shouldn't be full around this time of year, with the vast majority seeking to have theirs delivered.
When I order the Pro Max I'm likely going for store collection. I want to get Apple to put a screen protector on it as soon as I get it out of the box.
I'll wait - now to search for a case that can be here for the release of the phone. I don't want to go caseless. I always end up dropping the phone -_-
They had good stock for the Watch 6 launch, got a a next day delivery when I ordered on launch day.

I’d be a little worried about the lack of drop protection with that case as it’s so thin. Looks good on the phone though as you can see the Apple logo through it too.
I like the thinness but fair I do need drop protection too.
My only gripe is with the magnets, I really dislike how the magnets look.

I normally skip them plans without reading ins and outs as essential plans cost me cheaper plus i dont need smart benefits as i have family subscriptions lol.

I don’t see any issues picking up during this Pandemic.
Personally I feel much safer in an Apple Store where they do temperatures check make you use sanitiser, wear masks and social distance than the local supermarket that don’t give 2 hoots of even mask enforcement

Same. I will happily go and pick up my new phone if I can on the day of launch, I'd prefer delivery because lazy but you know store pick up IMO is safe.

...you may be struck by Customs and Excise charges then if its coming from the U.S. which will probably cost more than the case itself!!
I would imagine as well that there are fewer pick up slots available so they’re not having hoards of people queuing or in store at the same time. They’ll be managing their store to make it COVID secure and managing queues and collections will all be part of this.

on the Apple clear case? Maybe they should have done a clear case for each colour phone with colour matched magnets to camouflage them
Make your mind up, rules or guidelines....they cant be both. But as mentioned previously this is why we are in a mess!
