Yes, they can help you get that set up. It's as quick as bringing the new phone close to the old phone, scanning the beautiful animation code (I don't know what it's called) then letting the phone finish its thing. Remember to transfer your SIM.

Gonna piggyback on this seeing as you've brought this up too..! I've gotta do the slick animation thing on Friday - do you transfer SIM before you start the transfer or once it's done? Been so long since I did it the last time (upgrading from X) that I can't remember what I did last time 😂

Depending on what model of iPhone you have now, yes they'll be able to transfer everything over in store. It can be done over WiFi by connecting to the store network, all you do is bring your old phone close to the new one when prompted after turning it on, and everything gets copied over. Then you can wipe your old one, and leave it with them.

Awesome. I am on X with 14.0.1

I did it before powering on the device, but I suppose it doesn't matter when you do it as long as there's internet connection

Mine is showing 4 - all different DPD tracking numbers (not live yet). My concern is AO.com will see the problem and cancel the whole order. I only want 1.
It's probably a glitch don't worry, i was just taking the piss with it 😂 they ain't cancelling nothing

Can I ask a question of those ordering from retailers other than Apple?

Unless you’re availing a corporate discount or workplace voucher scheme, what’s the reason for ordering from Currys, AO etc. rather than Apple directly? Just curious. Because it seems year after year they let down people.
Apple app won't let me order and by the time I got it working for me it was a delivery mid-November.

I’m going to try that once the upgrade goes through. There’s a few threads on the EE forum saying paying the extra £5 works perfectly if you /pay/ for the BT Sport addon but not if you receive BT as a Smart Benefit. In those cases, casting support seems to either cost £15 a month or doesn’t work at all.

I’ll give it a try when I can. I’ll be happy to pay an extra fiver but not £15.

*Edited because this post originally made no sense*

Definitely retry. Tried upgrading my existing 4G 20GB sim only with an existing 20% student discount on on Sunday, couldn’t get the code to apply. Code from my own studentbeans account via The Open University.

Called EE on 150 on Sunday, got told the same as yourself (5G 100GB sim only deal was already on offer) so couldn’t apply the student discount code. Upgraded over the phone there and then at the full £20 cost.

After reading so many stories of people having their 20% student discount codes honoured, I called EE back on 150 this evening and asked for my student discount code to be applied. They could apply the code itself (only works during upgrade application online), but they could apply a 20% discount perk instead for the 24 month life of the 5G 100G £20 deal.

Found the EE advisor tonight to be much more helpful and accommodating that the one I spoke to on Sunday.

Still have my wife & sons lines on my account with their extra lines discount, so EE are still making £56+ for our 3 lines (mine with 5G 100GB, wife’s with 4G 20GB and sons with 4G 100GB)
That's much better having the 20% perk not being tied to the 24 month contract, I'm currently on an expired contract but still getting the same discounts so the price didn't go up after the contract ended.

Any chance I could pinch your studentbeans discount code?

I've applied for a studentbeans account on the back of my Chartered Insurance Institute membership but apparently it takes 3 days to "verify" an account. If you'd rather not its all good no love lost, would just mean getting 5G a couple of days after :)
