What about if my previous device (XR) is on a public beta. Will that affect the setup to the 12 Pro?

Yes, you can't transfer from a device made with a backup on newer firmware. I'd downgrade as soon as possible and setup your phone the way you like it.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to the public beta on the new iPhone then restore your backup.

Yes he puts it in the bag addressed to rebuy. It seems very professional with the packaging and box they supply DPD Just noticed that payment has been shown in my bank account, Now that is quick. Collected Tuesday Paid Wednesday.
That’s brilliant thanks for letting us know! Did you get the price quoted? If I’m right in saying I have 14 days from the quote to send them the device in?

You can’t transfer a backup from a phone on a beta to a phone on an earlier production version of the OS.

Can I ask how you get the loyalty discount is for EE? Do you just say hey I’ve been with you a while what can you give me?

Didn't seem to work unfortunately but thanks appreciate how quick you tried to help guess I'll wait for student beans and give EE a call at some point :)

I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t had to use one yet, as I have a corporate discount on my account. But I recall reading earlier in the thread some users had problems on Safari (or maybe Chrome?) or something.

Any website that lets you find/compare speeds of 4G providers in your area? Having a hard time deciding between EE and Sky. I’m currently on Virgin (EE) and the speeds are terrible (so too is the signal sometimes).

Opensignal is quite useful, it has a city breakdown

...yes!!

Surely EE won’t give a further discount (i.e for loyalty’ on top of the 20% discount code already applied to the account?!

Theres obviously a reason why. They think they’ll get you on a handset plan eventually. Remember these double dip discounts are being applied to sim only plans with a 24 month commitment. Those Plans also allow for a handset upgrade at any time that’s where they make their real money and their thought is to keep you tied to their network
