So irritating.
Tell tell me that they cannot offer a loyalty with any 5G plan. I’m gonna call again tomorrow.
I think it depends who you get on the phone. After hearing you guys getting further discounts, I called back .. I already had a discount on a 200GB 5G plan bringing it to £18.40, I grumbled some kore and got a further £5 off. So £13.40 a month!

What did you grumble about?

All this messing around with discount codes has made me spend yet more money!

Now upgraded my EE contract again to £33 for Unlimited 5G Data, with Apple TV, Apple Music and BT Sport. Cancelled BT Sport with Sky (£25 a month!) but am now limited to watching on my phone unless I can find some way of adding the casting add-on to my account. I don't think it's available when you receive BT Sport as an add-on though.
An extra fiver for casting BT Sport

So they require you to remove your screen protector? I must of missed that as part of the instructions. I keep delaying my pickup due to the fact that I may be phoneless if my pre order does not come on Friday. I would like to see the phone sealed before the driver takes it away..

Yes he puts it in the bag addressed to rebuy. It seems very professional with the packaging and box they supply DPD Just noticed that payment has been shown in my bank account, Now that is quick. Collected Tuesday Paid Wednesday.

They've always looked after me, they're an authorised apple repairer / premium reseller

Never actually used the extended warranty so unsure how that actually stacks up but for no extra cost can't really complain I guess
It doesn't stack up, spoiler alert! If you have a need for the facility you'll need Apple Care + or to know it's your bill if anything goes wrong. I've had the rant in this thread once, but basically, the screen problems with the MacBook Pro 2015 they insisted was up to my Father to pay due to a law regarding recalls and exclusion clauses they made up.

I guess this is the best place I could seek answer.
I always order iPhone with service provider Vodafone and this is the first time collection in Apple store. Currently on sim only plan.

One question bugging me is whether the store can provide the service of data transfer from old phone to new phone as I’d need my old phone to leave at store for trade in.

All data backup ready to iTune and iCloud for Friday.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yep they'll do it at the store for you, or you can do it yourself just by putting the phones side by side if you're all backed up and running the same iOS version on both.

Yes, they can help you get that set up. It's as quick as bringing the new phone close to the old phone, scanning the beautiful animation code (I don't know what it's called) then letting the phone finish its thing. Remember to transfer your SIM.

Oh that's no good, no stress on my side though I'll likely sell the handset before the initial 12 month warranty expires either way :)

Wicked .
Can’t wait to test 5G speed and night mode picture straight outta box. Purposely booked for late evening slut so hope to get longer service time compared to peak hours.

Definitely retry. Tried upgrading my existing 4G 20GB sim only with an existing 20% student discount on on Sunday, couldn’t get the code to apply. Code from my own studentbeans account via The Open University.

Called EE on 150 on Sunday, got told the same as yourself (5G 100GB sim only deal was already on offer) so couldn’t apply the student discount code. Upgraded over the phone there and then at the full £20 cost.

After reading so many stories of people having their 20% student discount codes honoured, I called EE back on 150 this evening and asked for my student discount code to be applied. They could apply the code itself (only works during upgrade application online), but they could apply a 20% discount perk instead for the 24 month life of the 5G 100G £20 deal.

Found the EE advisor tonight to be much more helpful and accommodating that the one I spoke to on Sunday.

Still have my wife & sons lines on my account with their extra lines discount, so EE are still making £56+ for our 3 lines (mine with 5G 100GB, wife’s with 4G 20GB and sons with 4G 100GB)

Depending on what model of iPhone you have now, yes they'll be able to transfer everything over in store. It can be done over WiFi by connecting to the store network, all you do is bring your old phone close to the new one when prompted after turning it on, and everything gets copied over. Then you can wipe your old one, and leave it with them.
