Many Thanks, yes mine is the same I think. It does leave a section of glass unprotected which is a shameView attachment 972860

That almost seems like the wrong size protector.
I am contemplating changing my iup and going on the 24month option because having slept on it I don’t like the fact they pocketed £83 rather than me 🤔

Yes I like the ease of the program and AppleCare feature but it’s less per month on the 24 option so il decide today what to do
you can split the Applecare on the 24 month plan too

So I popped by the Regent Street store today, just outside while I waited for my girlfriend to pick up her laptop for repair (a MacBook top case out of warranty but free of charge under consumer law, know your rights, kids!)

Observations:
* Staff keeping to strict time limits and turning people away with no appointment

* People without Photo ID being turned away from collection (as it should be)

* iPhone Pro on display in the window at the front of the store. They all look good but that Pacific Blue is just too good to miss. Second choice would be silver for the amazing contrast between black front and silver sides, a la iPhone 1. But alas the white back glass is not my scene.

Now, hurry up Pro Max.... and please don’t be so large that I regret not buying the smaller one!!

Sorry to ask this in here.
But I’m trying to update WhatsApp and bring my messages across.
When I open in my new phone it says my last iCloud backup was 28th Sept. So I backed up on my old phone which is now showing as “Last backed up: Today”. But when I try to install WhatsApp backup on new phone it is still saying the last backup is 28th Sept. Does anyone know how I can force my new phone to see the latest backup from my old one?

Re-install WhatsApp on your new phone, it should then read the latest backup. Also, go into WhatsApp and perform a backup there as well instead of relying on iCloud to do the backup for you.

How old was the MacBook? purchased from apple directly I assume?

I think amazon were only honouring one unit per amazon order for the iPhones and I had 4 separate orders.

Thank you for posting those pics. I was going back and forth between the Silver and Pacific Blue. I’ve had silver for the past few years since the iPhone 6 and was thinking about a change and getting the Pacific Blue but these pics have reaffirmed that I should go with Silver again. 😃👍
Pleased to hear pal! I know finding photos was hard as only like two reviewers had them and the quality was a bit meh.

I was tempted by the gold but this phone is much more me, matches the Stainless AW4!

Ah, defective or damaged?

Have a rear glass protector on one. Hopefully someone will do more of an edge to edge one - this has a few mm gap around the edges - but overall it is nicer than a case and should be fine for day to day caseless use. I’ll still look for a basic case for if I’m out and about in town etc

Is your an online order? Order reference beginning with letters?
I upgraded online yeah. I actually have 2 order numbers, I have the 12 digit one that starts with 3 letters which was on my order email and a 10 digit one that chat support gave me. Neither let me track my order.

Oh by the way my experience of collection at the Apple Store in Brighton was great.

Rocked up 5 mins before my slot. Quick temperature check before seeing a member of Apple staff who scanned my QR code and checked ID. There was a queue of about 10-15 people but because I wasn’t interested in looking at accessories etc I went straight to the store entrance where my phone was bought straight out and handed over.

Whole process took less than five minutes. Great job 👏

2016, so just over 4 years old. Already repaired twice - once under AppleCare, once under the keyboard replacement scheme. Was told that was it - you only get one under the keyboard replacement scheme. But, that’s irrelevant. The scheme is Apple’s choice to provide. By law, if the item is not fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality (as evidenced by the high failure rate of butterfly keyboards), you’re entitled to a repair free or charge - up to 6 years after purchase. Or a replacement (MacBook Air 2020 anyone?) if they were so willing (they weren’t).

Technically the onus is on me to prove it’s defective, so I did that by arguing that the keyboards are known to be a defective design hence why Apple replaced them on their entire laptop lineup.

I was polite and we joked about the iPhone 12 launch.... after he went to get approval from his manager to let us have the keyboard replaced for free.

Haven’t been able to test if my iPhone works as an actual phone LOL.

Yesterday I requested a QR code from EE to switch my esim to my new iPhone. I’ve received it today and the process has failed. Now I’m with no line on either phone until a replacement arrives.

I might take advantage of some Black Friday deal to switch network and get back a physical sim to avoid these cockups in future...

Grumpy of Islington on here for a moan at EE - amazing they don't have an online eSIM transfer process, and my local EE shop can't even help me as their ID scanner process isn't working, so they can't get my driving licence into their system and so can't issue me with a new eSIM. Not sure whether to start the mail-out process or try again tomorrow ("it might be fixed, it might not") Anyone else having issues? My blue Pro is beautiful, but currently no use outdoors - and we got a new 5G mast less than 100m away so was keen to see what speeds I'd get here...
