They will send out another one but prob won't be despatched for a while

woke up this morning to find the phone has been despatched and its with DPD due to be delivered today i'm happy with that

now to get on and get a case to see me through to when apple/amazon have more magsafe leather cases available

i do like the idea of having a leather mag wallet addon but from the reviews they aren't very secure.

Can I just ask a really noob question..... 🙃

What's the best way to transfer everything to the new iPhone 12 - is it that method whereby you bring both phones together and the data transfers from one to the other?

Does this method transfer Apple Music, Apple Pay, Apple Watch Data, Health data etc (its been so long since I've done this that I've forgotten the process?!!!!)?

Thanks in advance....!!!

I used that method, not sure on the music you have downloaded but it does everything else. You just need to confirm the CVC on any bank cards in Apple Pay again.

Anyone got the clear MagSafe case from Apple? JL have an intro deal and I’m tempted by it but is it going to be better than my ESR clear case I have right now?

I was impressed with my Ringke case for the X, but this is definitely higher quality and going off the 11 Pro I would be amazed if it yellowed. Got the 2 year guarantee with JL as well! I don’t know whether it would hold up, but still a nice thing to have.

Do an encrypted backup to a Mac/pc and then restore from that

Swapped my Silver for a Graphite last night at Lakeside.

They said I was the luckiest customer today as one was left and I got it, think someone didn't get their pick up so it went back in stock. Much happier now with this one.

Can I ask why you didn’t like the silver?

Thats what i do. Unpair my watch, back up to my MacBook and then restore from there and re-pair the watch. Not the fastest way but its reliable and works everytime.
I prefer the backup to laptop method too although I also had success with restoring from an iCloud backup. What didn’t work so well for me was direct transfer from old phone to new. It was very slow and didn’t transfer my widgets.

Can I ask what happens if you don’t unpair yourself watch?

Well if you unpair your watch it is backed up to the phone so you have the latest set up of your watch backed up. Using the phone to phone transfer, some people have reported that it doesn't transfer the watch

I don’t like the fact it has an open bottom section.

Ouch... No screen protector?
Don't get here until Friday unfortunately! Anyone who's added AC+ from settings menu, when do you pay the first £7.99, is it as soon as you set it up? Can you choose which card you pay from or is it just the default on your account?

Ouch, and yes settings for AC+ and then I'm not sure if you have to wait for a set period before you can claim anything.
I wouldn't claim for this scratch anyway, can barely see it but given my current record of 2 drops in 5 days I'll need it soon. 😂
