It says it’s £9.99 for the 12 Pro but after signing up it turns out to be £7.99. That’s confirmed by both an email and the fact that they take the first payment almost immediately.

I guess it could be more for the Max though.
its 9.99 think the 7.99 was a gltich its taken first payment and documents says 9.99 still worth it until i upgrade again which should be next year

this was for the 12 pro

That looks very bright for me. I'm leaning towards plum and red silicone cases - kumquat isn't to my taste. Does it feel different to previous apple silicone cases?

To be honest, it does look brighter in the photos. Saw some videos on YouTube and it looked almost luminous! Looks almost peachy in real life and washed out.

You may be right about the glitch as it did say £9.99, but my first payment, and subsequent correspondence, confirmed the £7.99 and stated that that’s the amount they’ll take each month for my 12 Pro. Had that changed when you signed up?

That's like a Netflix subscription every month, no thanks I'll just be careful.

Great thanks for that.

I have a 20w power adaptor so I guess that part is ticked off. I have a few vouchers to use that I got from work not sure if it is worth using it to purchase the MagSafe or just something else from John Lewis. Very confused here.

I’ve read somewhere to get the 15w you have to use apples new 20w power brick. Won’t do it with third party 20w bricks!

Except when you’re not and then you’ll look back and wish you got insurance. Trust me, you should always get insurance no matter what. I am too extremely careful with my phone yet I have dropped my phone and more. I have insurance because accidents do happen no matter how careful you are and repairing these expensive devices without insurance costs a lot of money. It’s also not just about accidental damage, your phone can be stolen or become lost too. I don’t get AppleCare+ because it doesn’t cover loss and theft in UK, I’ve got insurance from a different company.

each to their own i've never actually damaged any phone thankfully

famous last words lol but peace of mind is important i don't have to handle it with kid gloves

on a different subject i had to double check that face unlock was on as it was opening the phone far too quickly assumed i had to put it on but nope it was on already with the xs max you saw the animation of face unlock with the pro you don't its super quick. i'll probably notice other little things along the way just waiting for the case tomorrow and then thats me done until apple release the leather cases and wallets.

The wallet snap on would be great for me if it truly works.

I think an important factor to keep in mind is just how expensive it is to repair these phones.

It’s £266 for an iPhone 12 Pro screen, and £526 for other damage (for example, replacing the back)!

if that’s not enough to make your eyes water and take out insurance you’re a lot braver than me.

Those prices are exactly why insurance is vital. I'm not paying stupid prices to repair my phone.

Took out AppleCare on my 12 Pro, first time i've ever taken our applecare on any product. And at £7.99 a month, it eases my mind incase I do drop my phone and crack the screen.

On another note, just received payment confirmation for my XS from MusicMagpie so should be receiving £335 tomorrow. Result.

The value of Applecare+ as with pretty much any optional insurance is how likely are you to break your phone and have you broken any phones previously. Personally I've never bought Applecare+ as I've not broken any of my previous phones. In that time I've probably saved enough to buy a brand new phone.

Interesting. This didn’t happen for me on a direct transfer of data from phone to phone.
direct transfer than it asked later from icloud backup i had just done one this morning assume it can't do everything directly ? so maybe a combination of both helped ? the apple watch was paired with a click and then was updating on my wrist.

Vodafone for me won't go below £24pm for unlimited 5G max.
I've been with them for 6 years.
I think it's time to move on.

I've been with Voda for 10 years + but also had phones on other networks so I'm not strictly loyal. To be honest, I think I got lucky as I've been out of contract a while paying £18 which I was happy with for unlimited 4G. I'm also a broadband customer so maybe that helped, CS said I fall into the VIP category whatever that means but could have just been talking sh*t!

Yeah, I would move on too, loyalty doesn't count for anything to a network. I'm too lazy to switch and Voda works in my area out in the sticks. Tempted to look at EE though after the decent info & prices in here!

This article and video on the front page of MacRumors makes it clear that although the Ceramic Shield of the iPhone 12 improves the survivability of a drop, the scratch resistance of the screen is no better.

Screen protectors are still important.
