Please can you help me I get £367 for iphone X, but battery is 80% capacity, however it has had a case and screen protector from day 1. Will it still count as "like new" or does the battery have to be 100%. Secondly, can I leave the case and screen protector on? Thanks
I honestly don’t know whether they test the battery capacity at these places but they can hardly expect a model that is up to 3 years old to have 100%. Mine is at 81%.

As regards the case and the screen protector, I’d take them off.

Who here is doing the annual upgrade programme? Is it a smooth process?

£61 for the iphone i want...hmmm dunno if to go this route or not.

Think will be cheaper to just buy with very and pay it off each month that suits and pay it off when i sell the phone and upgrade again.

i had decided to cancel my apple silicone case order due to the general negative vibes I am hearing about the case, but apple dispatched it over night so guess I will get to check it out anyway! Still really liking the cheapo Ringke Onyx so the apple silicone will have to be special to win me over from that. I have used the apple leather case in the past but I am not really using leather products in general now. shame apple don't do a quality pleather alternative!

I wouldn’t base a decision on others not everybody has this issue...i would say just wipe it each time.

Was thinking to leave protector on for in transit, hmm decisions as on ebay you can get £399 if lucky...

When did you order with Vodafone? My 128GB silver Pro is still showing 3-4 weeks and has done for a week. Got an email from them this morning reiterating the long time frame and saying don't contact us, we can't help! Awful service, I was given 4-6 days delivery when I ordered!
Last Monday, I kept calling them up about it as they originally promised launch day

A beauty

Haha not for you buddy. Buy out right so you can sell when the S21/Note 21/Fold3 comes out - safe the credit file entry.
Joke. You know I’ll be on the same path. The S21 looks meaty with its crazy thin bezels.

Ooops, I was just trying to get a price with re-buy and managed to click too far through and ended up booking a DPD collection tomorrow! :/ Have emailed them to cancel. Has anyone managed to 'lock in' a re-buy price without creating a DPD collection?

See I was thinking of Very but I don’t trust them with bran new devices. Past experience of Very and Argos normally shows they never have the stock.

On Very I have seen it say available now and you go to the last screen and says delivery November.

Me. I decided to do the upgrade because if the phone price of the 12 plummets I will have the chance of handing it back in for a new one after 11 months. If it doesn't plummet then I can do the same as this time and sell my phone first and make a profit plus the apple care refund too.

My wife’s iPhone 12 delivered on launch day so I’m hoping it will be the same for pro max. I know for other devices it was fine. Series 5 watch though was delayed last year though and never told me until a day before launch.

So will take the risk with very and order as soon as it gives live.

Yeah I agree, the Apple silicone case is great. I rocked one alternating with an Apple leather case for over a year. The silicone is really resistant to stains, for dust it just needs a quick wipe and good to go again. Silicone offers phenomenal levels of grip, looks cool, slim profile but a tough design and feels good in the hand. The lip around the edge of the display is raised just enough to stop the screen glass smashing if the iPhone fell face down. Only negative for me is the silicone can wear off over time on the corners with use but we are talking over months not weeks usage.

I like them as the weight is so much better than other case options. Feels far better in the hand certainly when the pro max will be a beast weight wise.

Didn't do annual upgrade programme this year but did use the 0% 24month barclays finance.

Upgrade programme is 0% so you won't save any money buying it with Very. Upgrade programme is essentially a 0% barclays loan so you can pay off early whenever you like, for example in 12 months and then upgrade again, that's what a lot of people do on this forum: Sell to MusicMagpie/privately, pay off what is remaining, get a refund on Applecare if you haven't used it, then purchase the new phone.

edit: unless of course you meant save money on the monthly payments each month :)

Yeah it's more what's easier really. Least with very I can pay it off at my own pace. No lock get approved as I've seen people here get rejected for no reason

Yeah Barclays can be quite picky that's for sure. Which phone are you going for?
Going for pro max in blue. Thunk will go with 128GB as on my 128GB pro I'm only use 30GB

Least with upgrade programme you can get approved before the phone is out, right? So if I don't least I know

The upgrade programme no, not unless you're already on the programme. If you're new to the programme you have to go to an Apple Store and sign up in person. the 0% Barclays finance you can get pre-approval for. IMO Barclays 0% is the better option as it's over 24months vs 20months so the monthly repayments are cheaper and AppleCare is optional, you can take it after you have purchased the phone if you like where as upgrade programme includes it.
