Why people don’t add a gadget protection option (which covers multiple devices) to their home insurance I’ll never know.

I’ve used this before but have now taken AppleCare. If you make a claim it can affect your premium when you renew, sometimes these insurance companies use random companies to repair your devices and can have a long turnaround time. I broke an 8+ a few years ago, my excess with £100 for a small screen crack and it took 14 days to get back to me, and there was a lot of paperwork and hoops to jump through.

AppleCare is just much simpler in my opinion and i get to deal directly with Apple and not have my premium etc affected.

Just found my 12 Pro order has gone to Preparing to ship. :)

And they have taken the money. :(

Screen protectors arrived this morning. Third-party case on its way. With luck both case and phone will arrive tomorrow.

(Had been showing 19/11/2020 so was somewhat resigned to waiting. But getting desperate - my 6s had issues with storage AND memory yesterday. Ordered 16/11/2020 but near end of day.)

Was thinking to leave protector on for in transit, hmm decisions as on ebay you can get £399 if lucky...
Take a look at completed listings on eBay for the same phone as you would be selling. I think that you would have to be really lucky to get as much as that for it. Then you'd have to deduct eBay listing fee, commission on the sale price, PayPal charges, and quite possibly postage charges too. Still worth it?

My iPhone 12 Pro is still showing as 16th Nov as the delivery date. Is it Pacific Blue?

I did order my parents the new iPad Air at the same time which is showing the same date. They usually ship separately if one becomes available before the other but maybe thats changed.

Graphite 128GB.

Ooops, I was just trying to get a price with re-buy and managed to click too far through and ended up booking a DPD collection tomorrow! :/ Have emailed them to cancel. Has anyone managed to 'lock in' a re-buy price without creating a DPD collection?
I think this happens automatically when you click on "Complete Order" (or something similar). Try to cancel. At worst, don't hand it over to the driver - I'm fairly sure he won't wrestle you to the ground for it.

Thanks - I was hoping I could save the DPD driver a visit, but, like you say, not the end of the world if he does have to come here

You will likely or should get a DPD/reBuy email showing pick up date/time, from that you can alter the pick up date etc and possibly cancel, I can not remember the format.

...is that ESR protector actually on the phone then? If it is, its truly edge to edge (you can barely tell you have a protector on!).

The Belkin ones they install in the Apple Store only goes as far as the on screen display (up to the red lines) :

Yeah ESR are one of the best in the market for offering actual edge to edge protectors. Ordered one for my Pro Max so hoping it’s as good as that 12 Pro! Belkin are decent quality but you do pay for it, I like how Apple CS install them on nicely with the Belkin machine in store with no bubbles - but they’re not true edge to edge.

Seeing good reviews of the ESR protector is making me glad i changed mine from Spigen. My Pro isn't arriving until the 11th (Hopefully earlier!) but glad i got the ESR.

The ESR protectors really are great, I had them for my XR and now the same model as most on here for my 12 Pro.
You can't tell at all from a quick look that there is even a protector fitted and the glass itself feels perfect under the thumb whilst in use. I can't tell the difference between touching it and touching the actual screen of the phone.

Another fan of the ESR protectors here. I've not bothered for a screen protector for years - the last ones I used were the 'wet' application ones and I remember them being a nightmare with trying to squeeze the bubbles out! I never bothered since then and my old iPhone X had lots of micro scratches as a result. First time trying the ESR tempered glass on my 12 pro and seriously impressed. You can barely tell it's fitted since it's edge to edge and as others say the texture is great, feels just like the screen of the phone. No air bubbles either 😊
