Just locked in a price of £400 (£380 + £20 extra with code) from Music Magpie for my XS Max 256Gb. Fingers crossed I get a launch day 12 Pro Max.

Apple on the trade in were offering £310 so I'm a little better off going MM.
Have you looked at rebuy. They seem to offer more and I had a good experience with them.

Price with them seems to vary tremendously depending on the subjective condition of the phone.

I don’t really understand how a 3 year old can be considered ‘like new’..what happens if they don’t agree? The price for an X in very good condition is basically the same as MM.

I fully understand your concerns. They have a 3 year old iPhone X 256gb that I sent them on Friday and I’m waiting to hear from them as to their assessment. I couldn’t see any scratches on the phone so I put it in as “Like New”. The price they give for that is £367. Music Magpie offered me £330 with the 10EXTRA.

IF ReBuy don’t agree with my assessment their lower category is about £110 less. Ouch! I’ve heard they sometimes make an offer in between. If they’re not prepared to offer what MusicMagpie are offering I’ll ask them to return it.

Still no info on extended returns from Apple? Buying a mini for Christmas present but want a return/exchange option in case they want a different colour or a regular 12 (if they pay the difference themselves)

Why don’t you order a pack of ESR tempered glass screen protectors from Amazon and have a go at fitting one yourself? They are cheap and very easy to use. Pack of 3 for £8.99.

ESR Tempered-Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 12 Pro Max [3-Pack] [Easy Installation Frame] [Case-Friendly] Premium Tempered Glass iPhone 12 Pro Max Screen Protector https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08CXPDN92/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_auENFb69N20FM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Yep better than nothing at all. Plus you get three!

I wonder if the store stock will be lumped into the online order stock to meet increased demand or if it's already at the stores.

I think they will - and I hope they do, means more of us can get launch day delivery. I live in hope.

I managed to be calm until it got to being shipped!

Posting mainly so anyone else can see what might happen to their orders. It is far from the most important thing but it is so easy to get ridiculously obsessed checking. :)

And the original said November 2 to 9 - and am the front end of that.
Arrived just after midday.

Now all set up and working. ESR screen protector on. Snakehive case on. Just checking last few apps are working properly.

Update on my dealings with ReBuy.

it was picked up by DPD on Friday. ReBuy notified me this morning that they’d got it and now I’ve just received notice from them that they don’t agree with my assessment of “Like New”. As follows:

Action Required.
Your order (*******) has now been assessed and unfortunately it does not meet our quality standards. Our engineers have found the following problem with your device: The screen, frame and back cover are noticeably scratched.

Not to worry, we can still purchase your device - please see the revised value below:
iPhone X 256GB

£367.00
Revised offer:

£335.00
My eyes must be defective because I honestly couldn’t see ANY scratches at all.

Oh well, I’m not too bothered as it’s still £5 more than MusicMagpie offered so I’ve accepted the revised offer.

No one knows yet. With the 12/12 Pro the pre-approvals went live on the Wednesday (day after Apple announcement event) with actual pre-orders on the Friday.

If the exact same timetable is followed then Mini/Max pre-approvals would start from Wednesday this week. I have a suspicion it may be earlier (as no event to hold off for) but until the app lets you start the process - no one will know!!

The pre order pre approval for the 12 went live late on Tuesday before the Friday pre order. Hopefully see more tomorrow

No upgrade it is then. I honestly can't be arsed to sell the phone, repay the loan, end applecare+ and start it all again.

Just do the p/x with Apple abs the 20month loan pre approval with Barclays when it goes live.

You won’t even have to leave your house

I was offered £306 from MM for my 64GB X 😬
