Regarding iUP.... No stores have changed their opening times for Thursday onward.... So hopefully it will be classes as click and collect? 🤞

Click and collect can work for store pickups, as you just show ID and then off you go but IUP wouldn't count unfortunately. I'm going for delivery because it's easier for me.

Yes, everyone’s catching up. They may also clarify the returns policy during Lockdown 2.0.
I think we will be in holiday return period in next couple weeks (most stores have already started like Amazon) and returns can be made until middle to end January.

Can’t see it myself unfortunately.
Might be a good idea to consider what they have done in Wales? Which is currently in fire break.

And that is:

Apple St David's 2

Temporarily closed

We’re currently open for pickup of online orders, Genius Support by making an appointment, and shopping by reserving a one-to-one session with a Specialist. We look forward to resuming full operations as soon as it’s safe to do so.
https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/stdavids2/

But no details of what will happen there next week when fire break is lifted.

We might finally move to the US system where you do it all online and Apple send you the new iPhone and package to return your old one.

That is all you really do to upgrade though... is it not?

I changed my EE sim only plan to:

£25 Smart Sim 100gb Plan
£13.99 per month as I have 20% discount and £6 loyalty
105.5gb data in 5G (100gb + 5gb EE broadband + 500mb student data)
One free swappable benefit.

Was on a 4G plan prior to this change so wanted to change it over ready for 5G as I’m looking to order a 12 Pro Pacific Blue pretty soon :)

Hmmm .. ok, 12 Pro in gorgeous Pacific Blue has been with me a week. I still love it lots BUT .. last night putting it onto my beside charger I noticed there was a scratch on the back of it. Have to look really closely but there are a fair number of minuscule scratches on the back of my brand new iPhone. I’ve had to order a clear case as I’ll want to sell it for top £ this time next year.
To put it in perspective .. I have NEVER used a case for my iPhones (update each year) and I have always had good price for them. This year I got ‘as new’ price with ReBuy for my 11 ProMax. So clearly, I know how to look after a new phone. Also, if anything, this phone has had less ’wear’ than usual as we’re in lockdown in Wales so it’s not been in my pocket and just been sitting on the arm of my chair for most of the time.
We’ll see how it all pans out but I think it’s possible the Pacific Blue may have issues!

I would exit IUP and move on to Apple Payments if they don't allow online processing for IUP. Does anybody know if I will be able to trade-in my current IUPed 11 while ordering (pre-approval) with instant credit towards 12 Pro Max?

I’m sorry to hear that particularly as you are obviously someone who takes care of their things. Very disappointing.

Ok going to return the esr protectors just arrived and have ordered this instead

ESR Hybrid Case and Screen Protectors for iPhone 12 Pro Max Case [Includes 2-Pack Glass Screen Protector] [Ultra-Thin Case] [Shock-Absorbing Corners] – Clear

I read that as "ear protectors" :)

How are peoples experiences with Rebuy? I have a price of £677 locked in for my 256GB 11 Pro Max. The guide notes say that they mail out a trade in pack to me within 24 hours. But the guide notes also seem to say that I will get a text from DPD with a one hour pick up slot and that the DPD driver will package the phone in front of me and provide me with a return tracking number. I don't seem to have a pick up date as yet from DPD so I assume that DPD wont be scheduled until my trade in pack arrives?
DPD arrive with all the packaging that is needed and sort it in front of you. You should receive an email from reBuy/DPD with the date of your delivery (Which will be the packaging and despatch pack including a box which he takes away with him) On the email you can alter the date of delivery/collection. All very easy.

I thought the back was fairly resilient and can only be marked by materials that are harder than the glass. Do you think that the magnetic back is picking up pieces of metal and that is causing the issue when its in your pocket. I would imagine that the other colour phones will have the same issue

Great. Thanks. I have had a text now. They are picking it up tomorrow and will bring everything needed with them. Their customer service have also responded very quickly to another query.
