I thought the back was fairly resilient and can only be marked by materials that are harder than the glass. Do you think that the magnetic back is picking up pieces of metal and that is causing the issue when its in your pocket. I would imagine that the other colour phones will have the same issue
Unfortunately, it’s definitely little scratches rather than extra metal on there .. Apple support are saying the warranty doesn‘t cover ‘normal wear and tear’ .. I did say that it’s not had any ‘normal wear and tear’ I’m in lockdown lol

Normal wear and tear! They’ve got a nerve. It’s had just over a week’s use in a domestic setting with a careful owner.

I changed my EE sim only plan to:

£25 Smart Sim 100gb Plan
£13.99 per month as I have 20% discount and £6 loyalty
105.5gb data in 5G (100gb + 5gb EE broadband + 500mb student data)
One free swappable benefit.

Was on a 4G plan prior to this change so wanted to change it over ready for 5G as I’m looking to order a 12 Pro Pacific Blue pretty soon :)
Would the unl data for £28 not have been better? 2 years is a long time if 5g becomes more widely available

Does anybody else here use vivup I can see I get 8% discount on Curry’s vouchers so £96 on £1100
but it states max £500 vouchers I’m wondering if I can buy 3 times to get my discount ,then my plan is to go through complete savings for another 10% cashback hopefully from curry’s for the pro max

My iPhone 12 ordered on release day is still a no show. Apple order still on 'Processing' with expected deliver 2nd - 9th November. Was hoping it would arrive early (like today).
Maybe I'll get it when everyone gets their 12 Max's. Shocking really.

That’s got to arrive this week. In my experience Apple normally manage to deliver around the beginning of the delivery window. They have a reputation for under promising and over delivering.

I can totally understand you not wanting to test the theory until someone can confirm.
I would be tempted myself to send a few messages to agents on Apple’s chat support and see if there is a consensus on the subject, or if they have some concrete knowledge of the steel coatings.

Then again, who am I kidding. I’d be the idiot who polished it anyway and found out for myself. I’m a sucker for testing theories and wanting to know how things work 😂
I respect that and normally would join in, then I remember how much this thing costs and suddenly a few micro scratches are worth having... my hair will start to look like the phone if any bits come off...

Simple solution if they don’t replace it. Send it back.
To be fair they’re accepting it back and replacing .. this time I’ll use a case but I suspect the Pacific Blue may be an issue to many even though I LOVE IT!!
Lord only knows how long it’ll be before they can send a replacement, I’ll be borrowing other half’s iPhone 6S in the meantime lol .. that’ll be an experience!!!

Won’t they let you keep that one until the replacement arrives?

My first world dilemma is whether to keep the silicone case and my MagSafe charger order (total cost = £88) or whether to return them and stick with the Ringke onyx which cost me £7.99. Hmm...

I like the Ringke. I was pleasantly surprised!

That’s not bad but on EE the £25 plan with swappable is 200GB

I’ve got the ESR tempered glass screen protector on my 11 Pro Max as well as the ESR clear hard back case and I don’t experience any of that. There is no issue regards the screen protector and the case lip and the case is slightly raised at the back. I’ve had no issues what so ever.

Granted I do already have the ESR tempered glass screen protector and clear hard back case ready to go for my new phone but as I’m waiting for the 12 Pro Max I’ve not had a chance to try them yet. I’m not at home so I can’t have a look at my case to see if it’s exactly the same design. Judging by my experience with them on the 11 Pro Max I am quite confident they will be fine on my 12 Pro Max.
That's reassuring. Thanks.

Tempted to hold off changing my plan to 5G as lockdown means I won’t exactly be going anywhere and using mobile data!

To be fair I’m not specifically looking at 5G as wasted for where I live.

I’m on a £20 50GB 4G SIM only that I signed up for in May.
It came with 6 months Apple Music so cancelled my £9.99 direct with Apple. My 6 months is almost up and I can change plan. I figured moving to the £25 plan will get me 200GB 5G and 1 swappable benefit which I will use for Apple Music saving me £4.99 if I stayed on £20 plus £9.99.
