I am still waiting for my new Merc. Ordered in August and haven't got a build date yet. I reckon it will be next year.

Is there any info yet on what Apple will be doing in the UK given the lockdown and the requirement to do IUP in store?
Was it existing stock? Mine is the new 2021 face lift e-class cab and production only started in september. I want to try the wireless CarPlay lol
Brand new factory order and wireless CarPlay is very nice!
Had to update my Pro from 14.1 to 14.2 though as CarPlay would randomly freeze on me (not a good first impression for a very first CarPlay user) but otherwise it works very well in the very limited testing I have done.
Way better than having any usb cables attached to your phone too.
My 12 pro in silver arrived today. The silver is amazing, looks really nice! Coming from an 11 pro max it’s the perfect size! Feels like a piece of jewellery, very luxurious!

Thanks. I had CarPlay on my Mercedes SL. It worked ok but as you say, it was a pain plugging a cable in to my phone each time. Just throwing the phone on the the wireless charging pad each time is gonna be a god send. Having said that, CarPlay seems ancient compared to the new MBUX user interface on new Mercedes. Its amazing with what it can do.
I remember setup not being an easy process, but then when is setting up an Arch install? 🤣
There are a hell of a lot of configuration options to get lined up right and oddly in just the right order too otherwise you can end up with the fans causing issues. I never had a problem with the graphics at all though and that’s usually where everybody encounters the major issues with Linux on a dual setup like this.
I can switch automatically from the Nvidia to the intel and still squeeze 4 hours runtime on the battery with my Winblows VM running.

Been using wireless CarPlay since my BMW since 3 years now and I love it. I have to warn you tho, CarPlay looks hideous AF on mercs dashboard. It looked so bad on the a45 which has the same screen setup.

Ive just offloaded my 11 Pro cases for £150 and Im all ready to build my collection for 12 Pro. Probably getting all three. Cali Poppy, Baltic Blue And Saddle Brown.
Totally agree looks horrible on 10 inch screen on our A250. Mostly use it for both Apple Music and Spotify.

I paid extra for the larger screen on the mini and apple car play completely fills it , hopefully Mercedes can do something with it too.
