Just changed my tariff with Vodafone to a super cheap SIM only deal, and am now reading all the rumours/leaks!

I got the Amazon mispriced 12Pro 256gb last time, thanks to the good people on here! Would need to be some convincing features to make me switch, I really love this phone.
I’ve been on sim-only for years now, maybe since 2011 or something like that. Can’t go wrong. I’m currently on a BT plan which gives me 100GB and unlimited calls and texts for £15/month. I think it’s actually a 50GB plan as standard but I get double data because I have broadband with the company.

Not that need that much data, mind you. I struggle to use 5GB a month because I’m on Wi-fi most of the time. I do appreciate the safety net though.

I haven't been on SIM only for years - finally out of contract, so now only £8.50pm for 10Gb (which is more than enough for me, I have wi-fi at home and work).

Bit concerned by talk of a price increase for the 13 handset, though!

Thanks for all the suggestions, reason why I was thinking Apple trade in is that it’s easier in terms of giving them my old phone and paying the difference for now but I will see what I can do. Luckily just landed a work bonus this month which has basically given me the money I needed to trade this for the 13! 🥳

On that note has anyone locked in their price with MM I know it’s 21 days but £666 for my phone isn’t bad at all!

How do you lock in a price with MM?

tried to add the extra 10% code but it’s showing as £0 in the basket.

The current 10% offer excludes phones. I think it’s been a while since iPhones were accepted. I know Samsung phones were recently eligible.

Tried every variation of historic codes ‘ADDxx’, ‘EXTRAxx’ and ‘IPHONExx’ with 5% and 10% variations with no luck 😔

Think a few of us just got lucky last year

Without the 10% I’d not be happy with the price. £467 for the 12 128gb. I can sell it privately for £50-£100 more. I don’t mind taking a small hot for the convenience but not that much.

2021 upgrade plans sorted.

Won’t be doing the usual phone recycling through music magpie but missus needs a new phone and will buy 12 pro off me (through her business so win win).

Son get hers (my old) 10 as his first iPhone and I get the 13!

Will pay off the 24 month on the Barclays loan and then if all goes as last year, use the pre auth finance and simple check out again.

Am also now contemplating sell my series 5 watch for a redesigned 7.

Also sold my 2019 13” mbp earlier this year thinking the new 14” M1X* would be out by now… alas that looks like a November splash out again.

No presents for the kids this Christmas me thinks
Sounds like a good plan

It's that time of year again!🎄

Thinking I will trade-in with Apple instead of Music Magpie this year as I have a tiny 1-2mm crack in corner that I hope they overlook.

Yeah mine has a small but deep scratch on the screen but I’m thinking I’ll still risk it with music magpie as I’ll be getting the iPhone delivered home and not going to the store.
Noticed that musicmagpies “poor” rating for more wear and tear isn’t too bad. Only knocks about £50 off the price.

Looking forward to the new IPhone and watch! Currently rocking a blue iPhone 12 128gb and Series 4, 44m space grey.
Looking to potentially upgrade both this year, but will be more interested in the new watch!
I’m with EE so will be doing the anytime upgrade where I hand the phone back and upgrade

Think I’m gonna lock in a price for my red iPhone 12 128gb mini with MM, they’ll only give £400 for it though and it’s literally like brand new. But safer than eBay.

Does anyone have any experience with Apple store trade in device testing? Looking to buy direct from Apple on interest free and then reducing the cost with my 11 trade in.
The reason I ask is because my 11 has some intermittent touch screen issues. The device is in cosmetically great shape, but occasional bits of the touch screen play up. I'd hope that this wouldn't show up during testing.

Worth checking if you’re covered under this program as it’s a known issue

Have sold my iPhone 12 Pro 128GB private for £670

Paid off Barclays loan for £564.50
Rang Apple and they are issuing a refund of £114.10 to Barclays
So i am £220 better off by selling private

@Jinjin when Apple pass the refund for the AppleCare back to Barclays do i need to do anything or will the refund just get passed to me?

They’ll send the Apple care refund back to you but I’ve always got in touch with them to hurry it along
