Looks a bigger upgrade than the 12 was from the 11
Strongly disagree.

The 12 range compared to the 11 - 5G, Mini, Dolby Vision, Ceramic Shield, MagSafe, as well as a usual processor bump and other improvements. 5G over 4G alone is a bigger upgrade than anything the 13 will likely offer over the 12.

If the leaks for the 13/12S are true then apart from the smaller notch and different lens positions for the non-Pro, are just routine spec upgrades. The only major one is 120hz for Pro models, but overall its a much smaller upgrade than 11->12.

Not saying its not worth upgrading - I think if you have a mini and want better battery life then the next mini is a good move. Also if you want a pro model for the 120hz and notice the difference over 60hz (i personally dont).

But it's not a milestone upgrade like the 12 is.

Just sold my 12 pro max for £805 earlier this week. Currently using an old phone until the 13 pro max gets released. Love how iPhones retain their resale value so well. Look forward to 120hz on the new phone 🙌

Sent it yesterday and they're emailed to say they've received it. Just waiting confirmation for payment. I sat on the quote for a few days to see if the price would increase more but it didn't so decided to go with it
Think the lowest i’ve seen for mine 12 pro max 256GB was £706

Do you know if places like Handtec are likely to drop the sale value after the new models are out? Normally I’m not bothered because I tend to keep my phone for 4-5 years but may very well be selling my iPhone 11 if I buy the 13 Mini.

I'm not sure to be fair I always sell mine around a month ahead of the new phones coming out as the value is still high.

I think the iPhone 11 currently fetches for around £370 depending on storage capacity

Some fascinating historical data to look through here…

This would be my dream 13 Pro lineup (assuming they keep maximum numbers of colours at 4).

Sunset Gold as the new colour while also doubling up as the gold option, Matte Black replacing Graphite as the black option, Pacific Blue kept in the lineup as a favourite from last year, and then Silver retained as we know it.

Really would like the black back. Just want a plain colour, have the blue now and it’s pointless as it’s in a case

This would make things very difficult for me. I like the pacific blue which I have now, but my inner goth wants the black.

Anyone have any experience of Samsung Recycle? Usually go with Music Magpie but these guys are offering the highest price (by some margin) for my model.

I got £725 for my 12 pro last week though Vendi though suspect price has dropped since. One tip is to try direct as offered about £25 more than via selling phone comparison sites.

No personal experience of Samsung Recycle but seem to have mostly positive views on Trustpilot.

...totally agree.
It depends on whether there's a big upgrade in the cameras and this is something you'd use one the 13/13 mini vs the 12/12 mini. If not then agree it wouldn't be worth the upgrade as the big upgrade was to switch to OLED screens last year. I think the argument is different for the pro models with the rumoured 120Hz/always on display and image stabalistion on the pro rather than just the pro max. Rumour is they'll all have bigger batteries though doubt that would be a deciding factor unless they end up degrading like a lot of the 12's have. Portrait video could be quite interesting but it isn't clear whether it is coming in this iteration and whether it will be available on all iPhone 13s or just limited to the pro models like Apple did with ProRaw on the 12.
