My bank (Lloyds) will not even admit there is one. I can use my CC to buy a iPhone, but not Apple Pay, despite using Apple Pay for just about everything else.
I have asked them several times why Apple Pay will not work on large purchase, but, they just say “it must be a limit applied by the retailer“.

yeah with Lloyds bank, I avoid Apple pay for purchasing big items from Apple. I’ve had issues before. It’s a pain in the ass

Worst case scenario is that if they offer you less, you just get them to send it back and stick it on eBay. They’re selling on there for more than MM offer so even with their fees you should manage to at least get the same as what MM offered if not more

I need the funds now tbh and cba to faff with eBay etc for various reasons so it’s fine if it’s less it’s less just hopefully not by loads though as my quote was £696

Agreed. Stick with the old fashioned routine. I backup to my MacBook and restore from there. So much faster

What case does everyone use ? I have never really used one before.

I go for the Apple Leather ones. They're a little bit slippy initially but soon develop a grip after a bit of use. I prefer how they don't add that much extra bulk to the phone. Ordered the Wisteria one for mine, will make for a funny combo with the Sierra blue.

Most people’s phones will go straight into a case anyway so you’ll never actually see the colour of the phone!!!

You will if it's a clear case which is what I use. That said I like the Sierra Blue anyway.

I’m coming from a 12 Pro to 13 Pro.
upgrade every year regardless. Keeps me on the latest phone for minimal cost. I’m on a cheap SIM only deal, and sell my phone a year later for a good price. And, I’m fortunate enough to be able to afford it.

Enjoy life, spend your money on things you like, if you can afford to do so.

Tell you what, I never realised how much Safari or this website on Safari absolutely drains your battery..

Nice and slim but do t see it adding much protection!

Give the protruding rear lens, I’m happy knowing the Apple cases at least have a little lip to keep knocks away

Don’t bother with betas any more and defo save it for then you unbox your 13! Some more added fun

Interesting, I wonder if the influx of phones they will have been getting over the last week is causing processing times to slip by a day or so

@Cutiekitty92 has just said she posted hers yesterday so that will be good to see when it’s processed, although by the time that happens I imagine mine will have been posted off

It’s a bit ridiculous they don‘t count the received date. I mean it’s on them to process the sell orders once they are in possession of it. I’ll be extremely annoyed as I was offered 705 for mine.

I have just spoken to Apple and they have confirmed that if you ordered your iPhone to be collected at a store, they don’t take payment until 2-3 days before your collection date.

My card was charged instantly - paid with Apple Pay and order confirmed. Just says processing - next step is ready for pickup…no preparing to ship this year 😢

Can anyone clarify what the differences are between the 2 methods of transferring data from one iPhone to another?

I know you can Back Up old device to iCloud and then Restore From Backup on the new device (which transfers everything) but what about the other method whereby on the new device, you scan that swirling ball graphic thing on the old device and then you just keep both devices sat next to each other whilst data transfers over?!

So I recently had the same dilemma. I ended up going for the direct phone transfer, even though it takes *ages* because apparently then the Apple Watch seamlessly transfers onto the new phone. Just did it this week on iOS 15 on a replacement 11 Pro Max and apart from tasking time, its been seamless.

Agreed, don’t get the whole “don’t bother, it’s a minor upgrade” it’s something I look forward to all year. Especially after the last almost 2 years, do what makes you happy.
