Will be sending my 12PM to MM this week, locked in a £740 on the 7th sept. I had £760 from elsewhere at the same time but I like the fact that MM fully insure the package.
They have some awful reviews on google, people complaining that their offer was reduced drastically after MM received the phone. I am in a situation where there is a 86£ difference between apple buy back and MM and I don't know what to do.

My card was charged instantly - paid with Apple Pay and order confirmed. Just says processing - next step is ready for pickup…no preparing to ship this year 😢
I was just a card transaction which way authorised by text message on the Pre pre order. Maybe yours was immediate with being Apple Pay? , the guy assured me all was ok and it would be done 2-3 days before collection.

For the vast majority of people in this thread Music Magpie have been fair and paid the price they said they would - its difficult to know those reviewer's situation i.e was the phone damaged, did they post it too late etc.

Got a 13PM arriving on Friday from currys but tempted to try John Lewis at 8am on the Friday just for the 2 year warranty.
Just a heads up Currys let loads of people down last year and I don't think anyone got a release day iPhone from them, take a look at last years 12 thread for details - fingers crossed for you

Ooh - I didn't realise this. I was going to send it by special delivery.
MusicMagpie's FAQ says please do not send via Special Delivery - it will slow down processing of the phone

Yeah, but just remember to backup / export any authentication apps you have. I balls up when I restored my phone and some websites have no fall back so you’ll have to create all new accounts.

The Authenticator app (not the white Google one but the other blue Microsoft one) now backs up to iCloud so no need to export and import it to your new phone.

I’ve just looked at my ‘Midnight’ leather case in the bright sunshine outside and it REALLY is ACTUALLY black in colour!!!!

I‘m gonna get one of them navy Mujjo cases before long - I really do like the navy leather look….!

Mine didn’t back up to iCloud lol caused me some problems but I’ll sort it once my new phone is here 🙃

Personally I’ve never had any major issues with MM used them on several occasions and they’ve always paid out compared to other ones I’ve used in the past

Advise please, I’d like to preorder the iPhone 13, and the delivery date window is when I’ll be on holidays (same country, Ireland, but a remote part), I’m considering getting it delivered to the holiday home, delivery dates fall in the period I’m there? Is this just asking for trouble? Ie. Can these things arrive earlier or later? Thanks for any advice

Apple often under promise and over deliver so entirely possible for it to arrive early. Potential to be a nightmare as you won’t be able to change the delivery address once it ships.

Hello gang,

Just catching up on posts - see a lot of people have been charged and moved to "preparing for shipment" etc. Still no charge here (Monzo via Apple Pay) and still "processing". Although the order (1TB, Pro Max, Blue) is now showing again on the "For You" page. :)

What screen protectors are you all getting? I ordered and received the: "Spigen EZ Fit Tempered Glass" from Amazon, I've seen a few posts recommending the: "ESR Armorite" but I'm not a big fan of the black bits - I don't use a case and find dust etc. gets trapped under the black bits. What's so "Ultra" about Belkin's Ultraglass?

Given I spent most of the past year at home, I just turned off 5G (hit and miss in area) and left it on 4G for the gains
Yup .. I should have done that but I’ve been so excited that 5G is here (we’re in a smallish town!) that I’m still getting a buzz from it 😁

I use an esr screen protector for my 12PM, I’m not sure what version it is but has a mesh/grill over the ear speaker hole which is pretty handy. I definitely want a full cover one and not one with a notch cutout.

Update on my MM sale

Posted Tuesday using their returns. Arrived today. Note that they mention because it‘s the weekend it will be paid next week. Unsure whether I’ll get an update today/tomorrow that it’s been inspected and get confirmation of the amount they’ll pay.

Will keep you posted

So I recently had the same dilemma. I ended up going for the direct phone transfer, even though it takes *ages* because apparently then the Apple Watch seamlessly transfers onto the new phone. Just did it this week on iOS 15 on a replacement 11 Pro Max and apart from tasking time, its been seamless.
On Monday we have iOS updates so I’m going to do those and then I’m going to unpair my watch and back up my phone so that I have a latest watch back up and then restore to my new phone and re-pair my watch

I’ve decided to cancel my iUP order and have selected the 24 months 0% finance option. This will work better for me as I’m being offered £601 from Argos trade in for my 12 Pro and I’ll also get a refund on my unused AppleCare+. Collection date on Friday from the Edinburgh Apple store.

Just managed to sell my iPhone pro for £625 on eBay
£2 selling fee
Minus the 10% Final value fee?

Sold my 12 Pro Max 128GB for £750 on ebay last week end , fortunately I had three free sales with "No Final Value" credits which was handy for such a high price sale.

Same here I did it last week and it was seamless and probably the best transfer I’ve ever done. Watch data transferred instantly with no hiccups. The final result was a like for like replacement

The main pain in my case was that it took 3 hours during which time you can’t use either phone. I was able to use WhatsApp via PC but all messages sent during the 3 hrs instantly disappear when you log back into WhatsApp as they technically wouldn’t be backed up.

Has anyone bought a MagSafe charger or the MagSafe wallet? Are they any good? I've been avoiding them up until now
