Which Model are you getting?

You’ll be totally fine doing this. If you’re picking up they won’t need the student ID because you’ll have already verified status through Unidays. Also, who’s to say you’re not a mature student or educator yourself?
I’ve done the same with my educator discount and I didn’t get asked for my staff card or anything when I picked up. That was a year ago though but I doubt they’ll care now either.

So order for pick up using his unidays..... collect in store with order number and pay how I want on collection. No association of the device with my son or his Edu at all, including AC+ ?

I can’t speak for AC but the iPad will be linked to whoever logs into their iCloud during setup. No association with your son or edu at all. It'll be a regular brand new iPad!
I guess you’ll be paying online anyway though? Or can you pay in store for pickups now?

you will be fine, you can order it to your house, there is no link to his account.

I bought an iMac recently for use at home with daughters edu discount…. All in my name, my card etc…. No issues.

she does use it at home, but Apple would have no way of verifying it either way

Which screen protectors have everyone gone for? I seen some people saying the ESR amorite but they look quite thick? Or are my eyes deceiving me
I don't think they are that thick. I'm pretty surer they are the same thickness as the regular ones. I think 0.3 mm. I've gone with the Amorite one myself. I'll see how it is when I get it.

Once you go pro. Hard to go back
its mad !

got back into iPhone with 2020 SE ... got my 12 mini 6 months ago ... cracking little phone ! tho my contract has expired last month and always wanted a pro model ...

haggled a bit ....

£59 a month - unlimited everything no upfront aint bad tbh

think the mini will be getting sold and the SE as a backup - cant justify keeping the mini as a backup

I don't need any of the pro features at all, the only reason I get the Pro over the normal is because it just looks and feels a better phone

I don't know why but since they started bringing the Pro's out Apple have made their 'normal' phones just look a bit cheap and plasticy IMO. Especially with the pastel like colours, compared to say the iPhone 4/5/6/7 when they all looked premium

Edit: Although those photos of the Mini azing just posted above looks like they might look a tad better this year, looks like the colour is behind a protective glass so to say, giving it a better look compared to plastic

This was going to be the year to upgrade from iPhone X, all planned. Then iPad mini happened and I ordered straight away purple 5G 256, going to stick with the X for a bit longer now I will have a larger screen I carry around I will see how I like it.

Exactly this. I prefer that premium look and feel
