Was so bummed after apple pay glitched and failed me, was about to have my 13 pro delivered on 24th but after wasting time with the app the delivery window is now 4-11th of Oct. It's still processing and no money has been taken. I wonder if there's any possibility that the phone would arrive a little earlier than after 4th? Currys is still selling preorders with delivery on 24th, wondering should I switch to that instead..

or wait for john lewis friday morning 2 year warranty

I went for a silver 13 Pro Max 256 with Product Red silicon case. I was v tempted by the Sierra Blue but thought silver would be more versatile and, having had the Pacific Blue 12 Pro for a year, needed a change.

Also ordered a Starlight iPad Mini 6 256 with Electric Orange folio.

I’m keeping my iPhone 12 Mini, which I only got in May. Perfect little phone for when you don’t want to take the ‘brick’ out 🤣

I hate the Spigen ones precisely because they have that ugly notch cut out area…..!
I’ve just ordered the ESR ones on everyone’s advice! Ordered the Spigen as I love their Liquid Air case, have used the updated version on each of my last couple of iPhones, and ordered the blue one again this year.
I had the Belkin screen protector installed by Apple in store when I got my 11 2 years ago.

Talking screen protectors

I've never used one and never had any issues, although ive just taken my 12 pro out for the first time and given it a good clean (still immaculate) although when you put it under light as expected there's the few micro scratches you can see.

Can't see this being an issue with MM as its exactly the same as my 11Pro I sent off last year and they paid out full, and their 'good' condition option does say light wear and tear acceptable (which there is none, literally just the standard micro scratches that you have to put under a light to see).

Looked at this ESR case though that people seem to be talking about on here just now and it looks decent and at a good price.

Can someone confirm that this is the same one you are all talking about? (an iPhone 12 video)

Theres a few different ones on amazon, one at £9.99 and one at £15.99...whats the differnce?

Theres also a 'LK' one which looks identical from what I can tell at £8.99 and then a 40% voucher also

Can some bodypoint me in the direction 😅

This is the LK one ive noticed with a 40% voucher

I’ve ordered the Spigen EZ fit Tempered glass. with the ESR, are there any issues with it covering the front camera? the Spigen has a cutout for the whole notch.
I always go for Spigen. Tried the ESR ones last year, the earpiece hole just filled with fluff and generally found the quality not as good!

Micro scratches are considered "normal wear and tear" under Apple's AC+, so I would argue that they are also considered normal wear and tear with trade-in companies that accept normal wear and tear.

My Apple Pay purchase went south too, after reading on here what has happened to others it appears mine was due to a Lloyds bank internal purchase limit.
All sorted now though, paid using my credit card.
Lesson learned for the future, don't use Apple Pay for big purchases!

The more expensive one is 10 times stronger and has black bezels. You get 2 protectors whereas you get 3 in the cheaper set. Don’t think you can go wrong with either. Many of us ran with the standards last year although I went through my full set due to one drop (did it’s job though) and picking up micro scratches. Gone for the more expensive option this year in the hope that it holds up better to wear and tear

Depending on the model I did see some available for in store pick up today

in store reservations are the worst in terms of updates during the week.. you won't see any more updates until Thursday.

having it delivered for the first time in years so get to enjoy (endure) the courier tracking!
I won’t have any updates or tacking I don’t think as it’s not an “order” as such. Shows in the app as a reservation.

I can't believe there is still stock. Seems to be lots of the Pro models available, even the blue one!
I noticed this too pretty much most models still available for pick up at my local store. It’s because Apple ramped up production this year due to shortages last year.

I think this was expected, there isn't much reason for anyone to upgrade (if you're coming from a 11/12, anything less would be a decent upgrade).

Us on this forum obviously love our Apple stuff so will upgrade regardless but the vast majority will stick with their 12's id say.

I'm only upgrading from my 12 Pro so I can get next years phone at the cheapest possible price when I sell it on, as I do every year. Otherwise, the £630 im offered now for my 12 Pro becomes £300 next year and then the new phone costs me double the amount... If I didn't upgrade for 3 years for example then when I eventually did..boom. back to paying a full £1000+ for a new phone as id probably get about £100 for my then 3 year old phone 😥

Im expecting next year to be back to how it used to be though if those iPhone 14 leaks turn out to be true! Can't wait! now they just need to bring back old school tracking of deliveries where we all track flights 😅

I got a 13 Pro Max 128GB graphite.

Although the delivery date has already slipped to Oct 4 - 11 :(

Anyone else having their delivery dates pushed back?
