13 Pro Max 256GB if ordered now will not be delivered until late October (19th to 26fh)
Just be the Max? Has anyone with a non-Max order not got a launch day delivery?

If the poll is at all representative, demand for the Pro Max far exceeds demand for the Pro. I suspect though that as far as the general public is concerned the Pro will be the better seller.Just be the Max? Has anyone with a non-Max order not got a launch day delivery?
still haven't been able to place an order through EE, I get to checkout and hit "site undergoing maintenance" every single time no matter what device or browser I use. Have been in store and called them, but neither can apply the family discount code which I have to do online, and obviously when I can get 30% off I'm not going to pay full price. So I just have to keep trying until the site is fixed, apparently, but it's been 36 hours already! So now I'm really not hopeful of getting one at launch.
Yeah their service is generally really good imo, a few weeks ago they were willing to do a fairly major discount on a 12 mini for me but I decided to wait for the 13, and I really want to use this 30% discount as that’s quite a lot, basically translates to getting the tariff for free and just paying for the handset. If it was just 10% or so I’d have honestly given up by this point and paid full price.I phoned them yesterday and it took an hour in total but I did complete it. They had some issue with their checkout system for taking payment :-O But as I was existing customer the rep said she would just put the cost on my next bill. Also she updated my family sharing SIMs and actually reduced the bill overall quite a bit (old phone rolling off contract). I was really impressed with service, certainly vs other carriers I’ve been with.
Done a bit of research, these Armorite ones look like a great choice! Nice that they have a 15% off coupon as well.

I agree. It looks really nice. In fact I prefer it to my Pacific Blue 12 Pro Max. There is nothing baby blue about it.Love it, metallic blue/grey.. looks great… no baby about that blue
They seem to have better force protection compared to other screen protectors and have full screen coverage. This means theres no cut out for the notch which looks miles better in my opinon. What is Armorite anyway?
The dark cherry case is really nice, was the reason i decided to upgrade 😂😂😂Is Dark Cherry Leather Case worth buying?
Read mixed reviews so holding back. Plus many of you peeps are not buying multiple cases literally holding me back to go all in. So far Ive only purchased Blue Jay. Last year I had 5 cases sat in my drawer prior to delivery date.
There is something seriously wrong with me this year 🥴.

Glad this was sorted in the end. I had the same trouble with NatWest via ApplePay last year, ie they blocked the payment and the card. Fortunately I managed to get through to Apple and get them to charge my barclays credit card instead so the order went through. When I phoned NatWest to unblock the card, the lady I spoke to (quite late in the day by the time I got through) said she’d had a number of calls on it as large Apple Pay payments trigger blocks and she seemed annoyed they didn’t know about iPhone 12 pre orders. a year later and looks like theyve don’t nothing to fix it 🤪.Update - they’ve changed my payment method to my Monzo debit card and authorised a £1 as a test which worked fine - so just got to wait again
Their systems seem really archaic and the staff are no help either which didn’t help - if they would just admit that they put a limit on Apple Pay or make it public knowledge then it wouldn’t have happened.Glad this was sorted in the end. just in case, this year i defaulted my Apple Pay to my Barclays card and all went through perfectly. The barclays app popped up within a few mins of the order to say the charge had gone through 🙂
The longest 5 days of the year 😂5 days and counting!
Thanks for this. I’ve often thought about a Peel case, but usually ended up going for Tozo’s version as they were on Amazon (not seen them for the 13 yet though). Although as I go for silver phones, the fact those ones only seemed to come in a kind of a smokey grey translucent colour was annoying. I’d tried Totallee’s soft clear a couple of years back but hadn’t been so impressed for the price and it was still thicker than the hard case, plus like you say, yellowed after a while. So seeing you mention Peel had a hard clear case, I’ve taken a punt on that. Pity it has to come from their US site, so I’m sure it’ll be like 3 weeks until a Royal Mail card through the door telling me I’ve got some import charge to pay (though I’ve been lucky with those recently, so hopefully this one gets missed too). Looking forward to testing it out though 🙂I've owned a couple of the Peel and competing Totallee ultra thin cases - both soft and hard versions over the years.
Things to note:
All the above being said, I've gone for another Peel hard thin case for my upcoming 13 Pro Max. The phone is so big anyway, I don't want to add any extra bulk to it if avoidable. I have ordered an Apple leather case to try out, but I'm reasonably confident it will just make the phone feel even more like a surfboard!
- The soft clear is thinner than the soft clear cases you can get from Amazon for less than a tenner
- The soft clear cases will still yellow over time
- The soft clear cases do offer decent protection whilst still being thin
- The hard clear cases are very thin and sleek - they actually looks invisible
- The hard clear cases do not yellow and remain looking decent if you're not rough with them
- The hard clear cases can be damaged when fitting due to how thin they are - follow their instructions!
- The hard clear cases can only be relied on for scratch protection - drops will defo damage the case and almost certainly the phone inside (mine 12 Pro Max fell on a tiled floor...)
It's the first time I've had an issue using Apple Pay, at least I know for next time (or change bank!)It really sucks to read so many stories about Apple Pay issues. It’s clearly only a certain few banks when dealing with big transactions.
I’ve never had these issues with the banks I’ve used, thankfully!
Yep but come Wednesday or Thursday, our phone status should change to shippedThe longest 5 days of the year 😂
