Does anyone else bother with camera lens protectors on their phones? I never usually bother but with the camera system being such an integral part of the Pro I'm keen to do whatever I can to keep them free of any blemishes.

I know the glass on the camera lenses is different to that on the screen and it's more durable / scratch resistant, but they protrude so much I fear they're begging to be bashed up over time.
Yep I always do and does nothing to the image quality, regardless if the lens is made with sapphire or not, it’s really for my own sanity due to the cost of this damn thing!

That does look really good. Making me second guess my Golden Brown choice.
I always like the idea of the lighter coloured leather cases, but they end up looking tatty really quickly.

I had Sunflower Yellow from the 7 Plus era and looked rough after a couple of weeks.

Similarly, I tried the California Poppy from last year and it had picked up stains within a few days from jeans and just general use.

You know what you are right, I had the Yellow Brown one on my 5s years ago and loved it at first but it did look weathered very quickly. All those pics have me sold. Cancelled the Yellow Brown and ordered the Dark Cherry :)

It isn’t something to be fixed. It’ll be a deliberate internal policy decision on limits with Apple Pay transactions. A few banks have them but won’t admit to it or disclose the amount.
I called my bank (Lloyds) on Friday because I realised that my Apple Pay transaction was declined. Lloyds said that the Apple Pay limit was £1000 and as I was ordering the 13 pro max, so it was over that limit. I then had to call Apple back to re-run the transaction with my debit card instead. They then processed it on the phone and my order details changed from processing to preparing to ship. If anybody else is still stuck on processing, I suggest you call Apple tomorrow (Monday) to make sure that they have taken the amount from the bank. Otherwise there will be a hold on your order and it will not be delivered on Friday (release day)

Im really struggling to pick a case colour. I like the clover and blue jay silicon cases. I also really like the dark cherry, green and wisteria leather cases. Think I might wait until Friday to see them in the flesh instore!

Whilst not all screen protectors are equal I would say there is nothing to choose from between these three. In fact, I would say high chance they are exactly the same product rolling off the same production line. The rest is just packaging and marketing.

My experience is that I used the Torras one on my 12 Pro Max and is was superb, applied it on launch day and the same one took me through to the point of sale last week and looked as good as the day I applied it. When I came to get one for the 13 Pro Max they hadn’t listed it yet on Amazon (despite the “date first available” saying otherwise) so have gone with the Spigen Full coverage this year.

I always find the full coverage ones with the thin black borders flow well with the iPhone.

I don’t know why I religiously check this forum as if anything new or exciting is going to happen.

Thanks that's useful to know.
If I'd gone for the 128gb 13 pro I would have been alright, but I went for the 256gb so was £49 above their internal limit:rolleyes:

I used to use a screen protector… haven’t the last two years and had no issues. This year is pretty much mint. Last year had a few micro scratches but apple didn’t worry about them and still have me max trade in.

I work in the building industry and my phones used on site a lot in the rain, cold, dust etc etc and never had an issue.
I’d certainly never use lens protection, seems pointless tbh

Same here, never used one and had no issues. Micro scratches are a given but they're invisible unless you look for them directly under a bright light.

However decided to try the ESR Armorite one that people are talking about on here for the 13. For the sake of around £10 to possibly protect the phone more, and if I don't like it or think it's too noticeable I can always take it off, if you can't tell its on then winner winner!

On the USA thread, they are breaking down every single detail of the aircraft the phones are on and the weather conditions 🤣

As well as calculating the capacity of a 747-8 so they know how many phones Apple ship at a time.

I was reading the US thread earlier and the comments just remind me of this

I get the excitement but release day is the 24th.

everyone was overly excited on Friday and now following the come down post pre-ordering, need a pick-me-up.

Unfortunately Apple order won’t see any more movement till Thursday. We’ll just have to wait for reviews to drop Tuesday (I think)
Lets be honest though...

...we'd all be doing the exact same if we still had the good old days of tracking over here! 😅

Yep, I would agree. I think think the borders on these ones (Spigen, ESR and Torras) are more robust and not so likely to peel away. Like I said, the Torras one I applied last launch day was excellent and looked as good as the first day I applied it.

Well, whatever you do, don’t choose the ‘Midnight’ leather case because this is actually black….!

Argh…just got the dreaded Amazon email…now estimated 8th Oct - 12th Nov. So annoying since I ordered it right after 1pm Friday. Hopefully I’m not waiting until November!

Just wanted to quote your message and say - what a fantastic profile name and pic you have there 🚨😁

Has anyone used Carphone Warehouse to sell their old phone? They have a really competitive price for the iPhone 12 Pro (after Argos) but wanted to know if they were reliable
