Oh, glad you've said this! As someone who never restores from a backup and starts afresh with each new device, what's the best way forward? Temporarily remove 2FA from those accounts, download the authenticator app on the new iPhone, then enable 2FA again?

You can use iCloud backup for some, others allow you to transfer from one phone to another, but you’d need the app on both phones. Just set up and test your new phone BEFORE wiping the old one.

I (pre) pre-ordered on Wednesday 15th the pro max in silver 128 gb as I store everything in the cloud but after reading about the 4K video I decided to change my order on Friday to 256gb - cue 1.5 hours of madness of trying to log in to Apple to complete purchase while I watched all the pick up options disappear.

It’s now arriving 4th - 11th October by express delivery - Normally I upgrade through EE (who were still showing as 24th delivery) but it was cheaper to buy through Apple this time.

is there any chance of getting it for 24th or earlier than date mentioned 🤞?

Decided to order myself a 13 Mini 128gb for work, stuck using a 6s and work IT have said they aren't changing anyones phones for a while. Bit over kill I know.

I've sent off for a pack from them too. Never used them before but offering £494 for my iPhone 12. Next best was O2 Recycle at £410. I'm a bit dubious to send it to Argos/Likewize - not a lot of reviews and the website is a bit flaky. But if Argos has put their name on it, they just be ok.

£494? They were offering £519 the other day?

EDIT - Just checked now and they’re STILL offering £519 for a 128Gb iPhone 12 (perhaps yours is a 64 gig, hence why you’re only seeing £494?).

Mazuma offered me £480 for my 11 Pro Max after the keynote, which surprisingly was higher than the day before.
It has gone back down to £420 with them now

It isn’t something to be fixed. It’ll be a deliberate internal policy decision on limits with Apple Pay transactions. A few banks have them but won’t admit to it or disclose the amount.
This is where the likes of Monzo and Starling really start leaping ahead. Traditional banks are archaic and slow to move with the times
