MM finally received my phone. Hopefully of a payment tomorrow.

I’ve cancelled my pre order because I applied for a new credit card which requires me to hit a spend target. I really hope I can re-order once my card arrives for an in store pickup and not have to wait until the end of October.

I wish banks would update their systems. In the US, if you applied for an Amex and got approved instantly, they would let you load the card immediately to Apple Pay and use it while you wait for the physical card to be sent to you.

Its MUCH easier. Just bring the phones close together and it will start the process. I prefer it as you don't have to set everything up again - ie email passwords etc - it just copies everything across.
The only thing you may have to redo are re-activate some banking apps etc - apps that are tied to a specific handset, but thats much quicker and easier then having to set up the whole phone again from an iCloud backup......

I’m sure Restoring From Backup ALSO transfers all apps and email accounts too so you don’t have to set them up again.

I don't believe ANY trade in companies insure for more than £100. Always best to send it Special Delivery where its insured up to £500.

So Special Delivery insures for up to £500? I never knew that was the case….!

You'll be delighted! I adore my iPad Pro 12.9 M1 since getting it a month or so ago. I got AirPods Pros with mine under the education deal.

I’m sure Restoring From Backup ALSO transfers all apps and email accounts too so you don’t have to set them up again.

It only restores an app if the app is still in the App Store, unlike the Good Old Days when the app was downloaded onto your chosen Mac/Windows machine. I lost a few last time I swapped phones, including Tempo AI which I liked (but I'm using the free version of Calendar 366 now, if anyone's after a recommendation). I always restore from a backup - it works, and pulls in all of my email accounts, so why change?

I’ll be buying the Apple leather Midnight case. I made the mistake last year of buying the tan leather case and never again, it looks terrible now. I’ll stick with the black leather from now on.

I’ve ordered the Pro Max Graphite, and just ordered the Sequ…..”Green” leather case, and the green leather wallet
