Finally we have movement via DHL, just hope both Parcels are delivered at the same time.
Long story short:
- Ordered iPhone
- Cancelled during preparing to ship by calling apple
- Received shipping notification
- DPD tracking said phone was being delivered tomorrow
- Then DPD tracking said order was being sent back to consigner
- Apple reckon DPD shouldn’t be attempting delivery tomorrow but told me to refuse it in case they do
Ill speak to someone higher up the chain. They have reserve stock for replacements. Ask them to allocate you one Pro Max. Or find you one at your local store. Give them hell politely.

Team DHL tracking has now taken off!
DHL website tracker says mine was collected at 12:54pm.
Tracker states my parcel is due to be delivered on Friday 24th September, it better be! Let’s go DHL!

Oh nice! I’m also from the Leeds area. Wonder why I got stuck with DHL. 😡
In my experience with dhl if the item is at the local depot by tomorrow morning they will deliver it tomorrow.
Mine is through EE and they always use DPD for device deliveries.
Hopefully it will change back to the 24th but I’d be calling them up to question why & whereabouts.
That’s why you don’t buy from carriers or third parties. Order from Apple direct (pay in full or on 24 instalments) and get a sim only plan. You get your phone on time and have peace of mind.
Just checkEd my DPD status for the first time in about six hours and it’s left Hinckley and it’s on its way to my local depot. i can’t wait for 10am tomorrow for my new shiny toy 🙂

Yeah I couldn’t agree more. The only surefire way to get a phone on release day is to order early via Apple
I know right! Every year this thread is full of people complaining about miscommunication and false promises because they ordered from a carrier or some third party like Very/Amazon/whatever. Like just order from Apple direct! Even if you can’t afford the full £949 or whatever you have instalment plans and iUP and you can get a SIM only plan from your carrier and it would effectively be the same as buying from a carrier from a price point of view but you get your device on launch day or as promised by Apple on their delivery estimate. Like there’s no stress involved and you can sit back and relax!
