It may be that the one hour slot is no longer available. You have to book that in pretty quickly once you get the notification from DPD

I clicked on it as soon as the message came through to it just took me to the app with no option. And it requires photo ID which I’ll have to leave with my housemate as I’ll be at work.

I ordered at 9:30am on the Friday 17th(the advisor submitted it at 1pm for me).

To be fair never in a million years would I have actually trusted some sales advisor saying they’d submit the order for me at 1pm over the phone when they shouldn’t have even been taking orders in the first place at 9.30am. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Vodafone used to be well known for this same thing - on preorder day on the phones they’d be using a system they called the contingency system which actually amounted to someone scribbling down orders and then maybe/hopefully/never loading them onto the system much later in the day. Obviously the online orders all jumped the queue because they go direct into the system.

I’d personally only ever trust an automated online system which provides an order confirmation at the point of order. Humans are idiots so take them out the equation!

For you to have an order number then surely stock has been allocated to you ? it might be down to the pickers . I’ve had dpd update quite late in previous launches .
 
Just received text from DHL that parcel has been collected and due for tomorrow.

Same info shows on both the Parcel app and the 1 star reviewed DHL app so really makes no difference which one you use.

No ‘snake’ showing on either app yet but I guess we’ll see that tomorrow once the driver starts making his rounds.


ANOTHER day tomorrow then of zero productivity ‘working from home’! AND it’s pay day!!

I wouldn’t worry honestly. I built a home gym last year and everything came via DHL. When tracking said one day it came the day earlier. It’ll be with you tomorrow, no doubt.

I’ve been really happy with the Spigen one I got for my 11 pro (..only got it earlier this year after cracking my screen. Never used screen protectors before because of how bad the plastic ones used to be in the days of the iPhone 4/5). Does anyone have any last minute screen protector application advice? It’s one without a frame. No matter how hard i try, one bit of dust usually fks it up for me.
