Applying screen protectors, even in these days of guide frames, is quite stressful for me. It’s the dust that appears from nowhere that bugs me the most. In the old days of plastic film it was the dreaded air bubbles.

The knack is to hold the tempered glass protector (application side facing the floor) over the phone and above the guide frame.

Then remove the protecting film on the protector whilst continuing to hold it with the application side facing the floor (this way, dust will not fall and attach itself to the protector via gravity 😉 ) and then remove the protecting film on the phone and slowly lower the glass onto the iPhone screen within the guide frame.

I can do these 100% of the time with zero dust or bubbles - it really is quite easy.

Hope everyone is enjoying iPhone day ... I collected my 13 Pro Max 256 Sierra Blue from my store at 10:30 on the Upgrade Program .... all very painless. Pleased to see that you get the option to upgrade the AC+ cover from the normal cover to the new Loss and Theft version for about £2 a month, so did that. Now home transferring across.

The new iPad mini is really nice ... the colours aren't as prominant as I was expecting. I think I've moved from purple to starlight as my choice..... the starlight is like the old iPhone 5 gold, which was almost champagne gold, very light.

Enjoy all :)

anyone installed the Spigen Ez-fit?

can I go a day without a screen protector waiting for amazon to deliver the ESR :(

I’ve got the Spigen installed, went on well and looks fine to me! Phone is still transferring so haven’t used extensively yet but I had the same one on my 11 pro since purchase and never had any problems.

great thanks!

good to see it goes further to the outside than the store installed Belkin ones did last year!

think I'll still go down the ESR route

I haven’t used screen protectors on any of my iPads or iPhones ever and never had one scratch

then again I hardly ever leave the house so I suppose that helps 😝

still not opened mine and will wait till the boy is back!

I've got 4 hours to procrastinate over screen protectors?

still no-one installed a Spigen protector yet?
I have the ez fit Spigen on my phone now. Came with two but only needed one. Doddle to fit and first time ever no bubbles!! Went with esr this year as I want edge to edge coverage.

Talking to Apple now, still showing 24th on their system but DHL say 27th
DHL called me, they have it but the system will not allow them to deliver as it says it's for Monday 27th. They are not sure what happened think it is something to do with the safe place option.

I did consider sending this back for an ESR one after reading the thread but I was too impatient and thought if it went really tits up Amazon would likely refund me 😂

I was blessed by DHL with a pre-9am delivery but had to wait until just before to set up because I was waiting for a phone call, joys of adult life.

you didn't recently sign up to the app did you?

I stopped when it insisted I selected a store it could deliver to if I wasn't in!

Couple of q's about the ESR protectors for people who've used them previously:
- Do the "normal" (non-armorite) ones go edge to edge?
- Any feedback on camera quality / Face ID function with them covering the sensor?
I've always avoided ones that cover the camera / sensors previously, but like the idea of the edge to edge coverage.

so you going to tear off the Spigen and replace it?

yeah the edge to edge is the same reason I want to

Not sure if this is a joke or not but if true this just shows that shipping a £1000 product in just cardboard with no film of some sort around the box is ridiculous

There comes a point where there's being 'environmentally friendly' and just a bit OTT about it

Guarantee you won't be the only one where the flimsy pull tab isn't broken in some way

Just phoned DHL as my tracking still shows as the delivery depot. They said it hasn't been sent out yet and so could be delayed until Monday . They've messaged the depot to try and get it out or a Saturday delivery but that doesn't help my impatience.
