If you have time, would be good to see a couple of pics after you've installed it plz. 👍
Not Armorite, but Spigen’s AlignMaster Full Coverage. It’s not noticeable at all!

Just to echo others: I, too, would like to thank @Jinjin for setting up the thread. 💙

We've endured another 12 months of COVID challenges since the last one and whilst it looks like things are abating on that front, we're set for more challenges of other kinds. 🤷‍♂️

I know we often obsess over "first world problems" e.g. shades of blue, dust under screen protectors, shipping delays etc. But it's nice to have an outlet to just escape and come together to embrace our collective passion for all things Apple. 😊

I'm sure I'll be seeing some familiar names in the Apple Watch thread. But thanks to all contributors. It's been a great thread. ☮️
Well summed up. 👍🏻

Little update re my EE debacle.

Spoke with their team and was advised they had damaged pallet/boxes at warehouse and they had to open the iPhone boxes to check if the device was ok. I find this whole excuse hard to believe but who knows.

My replacement however is coming from Hub 4 Bham and not from Hub 4 Hinckley as per DPD tracking.

Hub4 Birmingham means brand new fresh stock straight from Apple basically

Well 24 hours with the 13 Pro and the camera alone was worth the upgrade. I went from the 12PM to the 13 Pro and the size is much better for me.

I knew I would miss the bigger screen but the iPad mini has filled that gap nicely.

I’ll continue to lurk in this thread because what else is there to do now 😂

Im downsizing from 12PM to 13 Pro too. You have me worried now about the screen size lol.

Nothing else to do for the next 50 weeks.

I had trouble with mine yesterday. 2 phones both with an eSIM installed and neither with an active line. Chat were useless, said they’d send another out or go to store. Went to store and they sorted in no time. Verified ID, issued new eSIM QR pack, installed and working in 10 mins.

Sorted mine in store the same way

Can you pay in full instead of starting an iPhone Upgrade Program loan? Got a reservation and would rather pay on my credit card instead.

My partner got the Pro yesterday but prefers the size of the Pro Max that she previously had so managed to reserve one to pick up later and want to exchange 🤞

A few quick pictures of the ESR Armorite screen protector with the first in a spigen case. As the last photo shows, it really doesn't affect viewing angles. The only thing I would say is that I ended up with a slight gap of coverage on the right of a fraction of a millimetre when the left was correctly aligned. I don't think it is going to alter protection as it is still very near the edge and the case, but would be good if it was just a fraction wider. You can only really see it when the screen is off and doesn't alter usage, but thought it was worth pointing out.

Approaching 24 hours with my 13 pro - still can’t get over ProMotion and how smooth everything looks, wasn’t expecting to notice it at all! Haven’t yet tried the cameras out properly, but that’ll most likely be the deciding factor over whether I keep it or stick to my 11 pro for another year. Though I’m still not a fan, I’m getting used to the sharp edges of the phone (I do not use a case).

For those that have been fortunate enough to receive their new phones yesterday, how are you all finding the battery life today?

Picked up my 13 Pro Max yesterday when the Birmingham store first opened. Quite a few people were turned away as they didn't have the ID to coincide with their collections.

Had my son with me for the morning, so I quickly set phone up ahead of our visit to the Sealife Centre, which was a great test of the new camera abilities. The new ultra wide angle lens is fantastic with the much wider aperture and autofocus - photos and videos in low light are no longer a smeary mess like they were with the previous basic ultrawide.

Went for the bog standard ESR screen protector, which went on perfectly first time with the installation frame. Only a small speck of dust on the bottom edge that I was able to lift off.

Took an age to transfer data across via macOS encrypted backup. It seemed to stall at some point, requiring a reboot to jostle it back into action.

Overall, I must say I'm a little underwhelmed, which is to be expected as an annual upgrader. Very much an S version of the 12 Pro Max with all the plusses and few of the minuses.

Nonetheless, my likes and dislikes:

Likes
- Battery life defo improved for streaming duties
- Cameras much improved across the board - even the main lens is a big step up from the shots I took yesterday
- New X60 Qualcomm modem is better at reception in fringe signal areas - my home typically gets 1-2 bars on O2 4G, whereas I'm regularly seeing 2-3 bars now; I can receive 5G from further away compared to the 12 Pro Max's X55 modem

Dislikes/indifferences
- Weight increase is noticeable
- ProMotion is subtle - nice to have, but disappointed it's not more impactful like the introductions of Retina or OLED in the past
- Cinematic mode is premature - doesn't work well in even medium light and no resolution or frame rate options; clearly the feature will be fully formed next year due to hardware roadmap improvements, or it's been purposely kneecapped to spread out and ration innovation

It's been fun, everyone. See you around on the rest of the forum, otherwise next year's thread!
